I just got my copy today folks and it is fuckin' brilliant. The graphics are MENTAL! and gameplay is really good. As a fan of the old tekkens etc its so good to get a beat em up game that i can FINALLY enjoy.

Hi, ive played the demo version and i thought the gameplay was poor. Loads of button banging and random moves popping out.
What about those anoying leg kicks over and over, its poor They would have to change 80% of the demo content to make it any good..
Have you played Fight Night 3? i was hoping ufc would be more like that with grappling thrown in.
I'm gonna wait for Fight Night 4, that should be a good game..

I like the fight neight series too, but I found the ufc controls pretty damn good for the demo. If a little bit of a pain in the arse to learn at first.

I like the idea of the ufc game, me and my bro have spent a few hours on and off.
It just doesnt feel like your using skill to pull these moves off, i cant seem to do the same thing twise. Maybe im missing something? hope so.
Am i right thinking you have to bang the buttons to finish a move on the floor? And the same to shake the attacker off? Button banger?
I've tried the training section but rotating the control stick doesnt seem to do anything.
Suspect, how does it play online?

The graphics are nuts, you even start sweating as the game goes on (can't wait to play as GSP so i can apply grease lmaoo). I haven't had a problem with the gameplay Solar. The controls are quite complex but the intricacy of it makes it that much more enjoyable for me imo. As Haze knows im a massive MMA fan so maybe im a little biased but so far im loving it.

The “create-a-fighter” section has so much to choose from and the graphics produce some of the most realistic looking player models I have ever seen hands down. Also, when your in career mode your training partner takes on the characteristics of your next opponent to help you train....how fuckin' sick is that.



P.Haze, theres 83 fighters in total including the tapout crew members and in 3months Ryan Bader and Efrain Escudero will be available for download, Randy couture isn't in the game due to contractual disputes as you know nor is Patrick Cote.

Ive been playing since Tuesday and its fucking great. A few laggy games and the assholes that are losing a fight and quit, then the match is invalid. This needs to be fixed so the quitter gets a loss instead of a clean slate. The create a fighter is sweet, there are already some great looking Fedor's out there.

Still yet to dl the demo on my 360...

i got the game the other day but could only play it last night cos of work, so was all excited, haha. i love it, me an ma mate were on live an its best beat em up ive played, get sick of boxing games in a day, but you gotta learn all the moves with the players so keeps it interesting.

its good ya can get knocked out at any time too. it does lag when ya play americans but fine other than that. should sort it out that if ya quit ya lose tho.

a few of us played the demo round my mates for ages a week ago, an gets very competitive, its one of them games so better now ya got all the fighters.

Hi peeps, on the demo how do you finish an arm bar or other moves without banging buttons?
I can finish it in 2 player mode with the control sticks if my m8 doesnt struggle, but against cpu he always gets out.
Any ideas, tips?

You can oly finish a sub if their stamina is really low. Circles with the right stick or mash the button depending on whether your strength or technical based.

So hard to get a win online, everytime im about to win the other player dc's. They need to patch this asap.

Was hoping it would be a combo of stick movements and the same sort of thing to counter it. bit of timing etc..

One of the best games ive played in ages, got the fight night demo and i cant stand it doesnt seem a patch on round 3 which i loved.

hate quiters my record would be 61 wins 73 loses but because of quiters its 51 and 73 they need to sort this....

Yesterday I played for a hour and a bit. Did 10 matches and went 8-2, guess how many wins got added to my record? 0, yes 0. They really need to patch that, its making the game no fun. Every time someone does this, I file a complaint against them.

Newbie to the forum, old timer on the 360, . My current one just bit the RROD & it's out of warranty. (FUCK)

It's times like these i'm glad I bought one for the missus, quick switch of the HD & i'm back knocking gumshields across the Octagon.

Have only played Player matches online wi a pal, but for those guys complaining about disconnects... there is a known bug in the game that will drop the game when you win by submission. Not every submission, but quite a large %, so before you send the negative feedback, be sure you're punishing a quitter & not killing someone's rep over a bug in the game.

I won't be playing ranked til they patch it, player matches'll do for fun just now anyway.

I've heard indirectly that THQ are looking to release a patch around the 13th of this month.

I enjoyed the game for a while but i'm getting a bit bored of it now.

I got it on release day and played the demo constantly for a week before hand. I've mastered the controls and can easily defeat all the button bashers (ie; my mates) with any tactics. Submissions, KO's, decisions, etc.

The problems with the game are that it's terrible online. Full of people who just quit at the first sign of losing. You don't even get a win for it sometimes, despite them quitting. Then there's the lag. Fuck, it's so laggy it's impossible to play. It was ok playing against a mate over live cos I knew he wouldn't disconnect for no reason and the connection was decent. It was actually playable.

The other thing that pisses me off is the menus. For instance if I want to add a sponsor to my shorts in career mode I have to go through about 8 different menu items. With it being so clunky it takes forever. Something like that shouldn't be difficult. Then there's the waiting for things to load, such as sparring. And don't get me started on having the same fight over and over. Seriously I knocked out Cheick Kongo at least 5 times in a row because nobody else was available for me to defend my title against. Gets boring fast. Even on expert difficulty I have no problem dropping the computer on it's ass each fight.

And when you've played as much as I have (I've had at least 200 fights on my own game... many more at mates houses etc) it starts to get repetitive. Same animations over and over. The moves are actually pretty limited. 6 fighting styles with the exact same moves in each.

It's definately worth a play but it has no longevity.
