What by?
Bad Penny.
They are normally at their most vulnerable during the initial seedling stage,if they have survived thus far chances are they will reach fruition, some areas have no rabbit populations unsure.gif

No mate i ain't worried about rabbits 0 rabbits around here, but there air shit loads of deer, but the whole plot has 20lbs fishing line around it, its a square shaped plot with a small tree in each corner and i use the tree's as fence posts wraping the line from tree to tree from the ground to about 7 foot up the truck to form a fence, much better than cages you can spot them a mile away the deer hate the fishing line they stay well clear i also get a bar of soap and rub the line each time a go up the plot, last year there was deer shit all around the site and no damage at all just grey mold sad.gif
and the line is almost invisible you just can't see it.

YP (the slugs get a light dose of pellets)

a man with a plan . great grow bud . wish u the very best . that slug off washes away , if ur ere regular it not a problem . remember dont make a trail to ur grow , take a diff route each time . a three inch coil of copper wire is whot i'm trying this year .
the ferret
good luck anyway buddy if you had no problems last year cant see you having any this year. just couldent see any wire round the plants you got that sorted. or any slug pellets the met office is prodicting a half tidy summer this year so i hope everyone on here does ok.
bongo420
thanks ferret the bringer of good news . york , been told and read deer dont like purple strains . something for u to ponder maybe for next year .

like yourself i thought most purple strains were hardy to mold this year i am giving AMS a go meaning anti mold system soon find out if its any good but like i said the met office has predicted a tidy summer so i hope all of us on here what ever strain we are growing will have a tidy grow come october time.this year i hope will be the first year i pull off an outdoor grow tried for the past two but its been a total wash out i got big bang very sensetive to nutes. AMS the church and big bud x white widow and two kc 36 by kc brains which havent been sexed yet just hopeing one turns out to be female so i can take cuttings.my mate had a cutting last year only about 5 inches high off a kc 36 in the middle of june he dident think it would survive due to the weather we was having and put it out the garden in a pot to fend for itself come october he had 8 oz dry weight of it with all the bad weather we had not only rain but hail stones as well.all that i am growing this year i know none of them will compair to the kc 36 my mate has grown all types of plants outdoors from all the top seed banks paying £80 a time going back a few years to name a few white widow white rhino tai tanic big bud pure power plant califonia orange skunk no 1 chronic thats just off the top of my head but once he tried the kc 36 he hasent looked back since chronic are suppose to be good yeilder which he was growning the same time as the kc and the buds on the side branches of the kc was bigger than the main cola on the chronic and the chronic were grown in the green house with at least a months head start.the main cola on the kc was about the size of a 2 litre bottle of pop which i thought was quite impressive considering the size of the cutting when he had it the weather we had last year and it wasent put out till june the 25 th and no problem with bud rot and the seeds are so cheap only problem is you got to sex them.but like i said the met office has predicted tidy weather this year so what ever anyones growing i hope we all have a good one. ferret

just a quick update everthing is fine on the plot, no deer activity or human pests to report, the plants have put on some good growth in the last 2 weeks so the next time i visit will be at the end of june, i spent way to much time going up there last year. (Stupid really, just couldn't help myself had to check to see if every thing was OK), anyway wishing you good luck YP!

Cheers mate, the thing is i have been lazy this year and apart from digging the planting holes and adding a handfull of maxicrop seaweed and some granular nutes thats it, i think its more the genetics of the strain, tried and tested and been on the go years early pearl x skunk#1 well suited to the european climate.

morning all, i am needing some help with a couple of things firstly i checked my plants today and with all the sun we are having at the moment should i haul some water or with they just send down deep roots and find it deeper in the ground i have used swell gel in the planting holes.
And secondly there is a lot of insect damage on the leaves, but i have checked the plants from top to bottom and not found anything, i have some pure cold pressed neem oil but i am unsure how to use it, and if its mixed with water do you need to use a soap or a drop of wahingup liquid to disolve it into the water?

any idea's what it causing this damage?
cheers YP.

Sorry about the cock-up, i wanted to edit the post, anyway the pattern of branching at the top of the plant has also started to change from a symmetrical to asmmetrical growth pattern signaling the start of flowering, cheers YP.

Hi all, i was wonder if anybody could help as my 4 girls seem to be growing very slowly and lanky, they are so thin on the side branches i don't think they could support any amount of bud, i have fed them last week and again today with plagron terra grow to the dosage stated on the bottle and it doesn't seem to have boosted the growth could i top dress with some fish, blood and bone meal, or am l just worrying about nothing? or will they will pick up in august, not holding my breath don't think these poor gals are going to yield very well sad.gif Click to view attachment

Or is this lankyness normal for a early pearl cross?
