Hi guys, I'm looking at purchasing some seed tomorrow for my summer crop, Problem I have is that I recently lost my job so money is real tight, I'm wondering if it's possible to get hold of good genetics for under £20 and if so.. then what strains would you recommend.

After doing a few weeks of research I have wittled it down to a choice of 2 strains (very open to new suggestions though), Ideally I'm looking for Indicas or Indica dominant hybrids capable of rewarding yields and fast finishes. Also would be ideal to get 10(ish) seeds as I plan to clone the best of them for future grows.

Pakistan Valley comes from the mountainous area of the Hindu Kush in Northern Pakistan. After some years of selection World of Seeds offer you an excellent pure landrace indica. It is unmistakable due to its robust, branchy exterior and its intense smell and potency. It is sweet, narcotic, and high in CBD making it one of the better medicinal strains. It is perfectly suited for indoor cultivation, but it is recommended not to leave it in the vegetative stage for more than 3 weeks.


Afropips - Fast Blast

Genetics: Iranian x Blueberry
Variety: Mostly indica
Type: Hybrid
Harvest Date: September
Flowering Period: 7 weeks
THC Content: Unknown
No. of Seeds Per Packet: 10
Characteristics: Full bodied indica effect.

Fast Blast is a good variety for the first time grower, or for very small height restricted grow spaces. It is easy to grow & is extremely fast flowering. If grown straight into 12/12 it will be ready for harvest between 40 - 50 days & reach a height between 1-1,5 ft tall.

Do you have experience growing the above strains?

I can only talk from my own experience,I have grown seeds from Northern Pakistan I picked up when I was over there,yes,the finishing date is right for south east england.

Maybe FD's take on Skunk#1 The Pure. I know it doesn't sound very exciting but I've found every pheno I've had lovely to smoke, quite generous yield and sorted by 9-10 weeks. Cheap as chips and wicked I've stuck a few in now and I'll keep a couple though I've got stunning genetics to put it alonside - it's an old favourite and I'm looking forwards to it as much as anything else I'm growing

On the subject of skunk, I was gonna mention it in my initial post, Sensi seeds super skunk is without doubt the finest strain i've grown to date IMO.
amazing taste, yield and finishing time also ticks the boxes.

Out of your two choice I'd go with the "Fast Blast" as a landrace (Pakistan Valley) could turn out a little tricky... just a thought!

Have you thought about any of the "nirvana seeds" strains, generally cheap and cheerful!

What was that "something different" factor you were looking for?



What does it taste like?

Good stuff mogggys, I'm presuming that it's a strain that you really like if you have grown a lot of it.
Basically I wanna hear what you think of the strain, The taste? Good germination rates? What about finishing time, Is it anything near the 7 weeks stated by the breeder? The yield... Any good when compared to other Indicas? What about it's resistance to mould and pests? And finally! Do you have any knowledge how how this strain performs with LST?

Well, kinda hard to describe, The only time i'm ever spoilt for choice when it comes to smoking a variety of strains is when im in The Netherlands, There's been dozens upon dozens of fine smokes I've had over there and I remember little! Of the ones I do remember though, they are all too pricey at the moment, LA Confidential in particular hit the spot.

Hey TT, i got 21 seeds for £21 including delivery when I started my grow, two packets of KC Brains and a free Haze seed (they can't be sure what seedbacnk its from when I asked :/ ).

I have planted 5 Northern Lights and the free Haze, all the seeds have popped so far, some are growing beter than others but the nice thing is there is a bit of variety in there, they each smell, look and grow differently.

KCs have had a reputation in the past, mainly for poor germ rates, but anything more recent (last couple of years) I have seen has been positive.

Many of the descriptions say they are good both indoors and out, I reckon it is worth a go and can't really go wrong for a tenner a bag

Hey BG, That sounds like a cracking deal! If I remember right I looked on KC's site a week or 2 back and on there it said that they dont deliver to UK, I might be wrong though, Where did you source the KC stuff from at that price?

ok germ rates , piece of piss , no issues whatsoever there neither when brought or in F2

grows real friggin fast , i mean outgrows everything else around it , very very good for this , looks nice and indi in veg where it turns more sat in flower , shows sex super early at about the 4th node under 18/6 which is very helpfull and i cant remember the % females so wasnt bad then , its a very branchy strain with slight elongation between nodes which is nice as some indis i find to be too compact and sats welllllll doesnt need saying , so yeah into flower a couple of weeks quicker than the other strains i was growing at the same time ( lots of different white and black widow i think ) and sit back and relax , buds up very very quickly with as frosty as you like bud , sadly the yeild wasnt brilliant but the quality was very good , slight sweetness to it and a pleasent skunky sweet taste and smell , didnt stink too much at all and was a pleasure to have around , now the 7 week thing , ummmmmmmm well ive grow it in hydro where it just goes monster on you , ive grown it 12/12 and normally , its perhaps the only strain ive seen finish in 6 weeks with the odd straggler going 7 or 8 , nothing at all past 8 mind , i had one plant finish so fast i will proberbly have my arse ripped out by the certain members here when i say i had a plant finish in what i believe to be 31 days flat , it could have been 33 days but i think it really was 31 , when i say 31 all trics are cloudy at this point , ive never seen anything like it and havnt since , it comes as no supprise then when i say ive had a few autoflowers in the past as have friends who have grown fb but not from me , the autos are easy to spot as the plant hits about the 4-5th node and loses the plot preflowering and cant be recovered under 24/7 lighting

it does list 12/12 in the cut and paste , they jump out the ground and quickly bang out about 8 leaves then show sex , this is about week 3 , they then flower at about 12 inch only and make approx 10 dry gram from a plant , theres normally no branching and it just becomes a lollipop of bud , easy to trim mind of sold bud , no hermies to be seen and all of it top quality , grown this way you can really ram them in and ive even drop 3 seeds per 1/2 litre pot before just because i can

outside they can get real friggin stressed on you and may autoflower to an early death so best to veg as long as possible and bring outdoors on or around june 21st ( the longest day ) , they will flower very soon after being placed outside and finish in the uk st mid to late september , only had a couple make it into oct , mold wise i havnt a clue to be fair as there all finished before the rot starts in oct/nov , i havnt seen any due to rain so i think there ok but dont hold me too it and i last grew it outdoors in 2006 , oh and theres no colour which is a shame , no purps to be had

i guess what recommends them the most is i started off about 10 3 weeks ago as it happens as i liked it and hadnt grown it in a while , i wouldnt grow it in hydro again though as it got a bit too big for my liking , yeilds were way better in hydro but it was a bloody trial with a 5 foot plant in a bubbler made for say 3 footers as a max

buggermissed a bit , lst ? you will need to do that alrighty dont ya worry , responds well to supercropping which will to a degree keep it under control , you will need to train as it will get wild on you , 6 weeks veg means a 5 footer

man i hope not , i quite like him , hes took pleanty of shit and rode the storm quite well , it shouldnt be too hard to find out if someone really wants to know , he had/has his own seedbank selling which it was possible to buy direct except i believe gypsy was accually sending them out , then they fell out and he sorted postage out himself , it was at this point here was a slight price increase from £15 for fast b to whatever it is now

So far i've found the descriptions to be spot on and i'm yet to be disapointed in any pheno's i've smoked and seen.

I have some pures on the go, popped 5 seeds got 2 males and 3 fems(1 multi headed freak). Picked up lsf about 2 weeks into flower but they didnt seem to care and all three look like they will finish well within 10 weeks dispite a slow start. Quite excited about the freak, after removing all the double and triple shoots it grew normaly , now it is at 52 days the fan leaves are shiney and almost black buds have purple hue and are super frosty. The proof will be in the smoke but certainly the most promising grow i have had and well worth the £20.

i would go with kc 36 or kc 33 for about £2 extra you could get both

Hi guys, Thanks a lot for all the suggestions, Gave me a lot to think about, Cash is real tight the now but I'm determined to go ahead and get hold of some budget seeds.

So....

Pakistan Valley or Fast Blast... or somethin else... hmmm...

It's a proper tough one but after very nearly putting an order in for Nirvana's Bubblelicious I'm gonna go for the Flying Dutchman's 'The pure'
Reason for this, I've heard the least amount of bad press relating to this strain, grow reports look positive, Price is right, And most of all, It should hopefully have that classic skunk taste that I will never forget after my 2007 superskunk grow, The only 'slight' downside is that it might take 2 1/2 months to flower as opposed to some 7-8 week alternatives, Small price to pay me thinks

Waiting for the email back from FD to confirm delivery charges, If it's too much then I'll need to reconsider, However, FD's skunk The Pure bags the vote!!

You won't regret it If you have a few girls then at least some phenos're plunderable from 7-8 weeks Did I just say that ? Surely not

I have Oldtimes, Smile, Anaesthesia and Kush in atm amongst other things but I'm still looking forward to my old favourite The Pure. I only heard one negative report, but that was only on the grounds that it wasn't what this gent was looking for.

Myself I prefered some phenos to origonal Cheese, just as potent and better yield - Cheese just had the edge on the taste is all imho
