Hi PM / OT1 / other esteemed members

I've some Q's on using the PM suite / related newbie'ish ones (3'rd grow under hps)

1. Boost : understand no nutes when administered and best applied after repot with Granules with at least 10 days between doses, but can we use molasses / seaweed / other microbe beneficial addatives in conjunction and/or during that 10 day period?

2. Why not to use in flowering? simply that it might cause over nute? due to humate build up during veg? or will it affect produce?

3. I'm planning on moving to 15l round pots in another 7 days (2wks into flower) as I'd like my plants to give as much as they can as they've only just received the space and light (see background info), I know this is against best practice and I understand that root growth slows during flower, but since seeing the roots generated with aid of the PM suite on others grow diary's and reports of successful repots at flower without use of Microbes I'm hopiing it'll be ok? dont want to drown my babies.
hopefully 14 days in the 6.5l will have it produce enough root mass to re-pot successfully and I intend to Boost drench after?
will there be any point repotting? more roots more yield? will the energy required for root growth in flower stage stunt yield?

obviously if I'd had the finance / space / knowledge, I would have avoided repotting at this stage.

4. I'm still waiting for delivery of 1L/650g of Comfrey, Alfalfa & Seaweed pellet fert - which I was going to mix into my compost. Will pre-mixing nutes make compost too hot to use Boost at repot?
or shall I plan B, use the fert as a base for an activated compost tea & start using in a few weeks after pot up? is there enough nutes in my mix for a few weeks? will the microbes symbiotic action deplete nutes quicker?

5. When using Silicon in waterings do you have to use less seaweed and molasses?

ok, enough questions! and some thanks to all the uk420 members that have contributed to this grow so far.

Background info - and current PM use -it's a bit verbose but that may help others

I've just gone into flower with some would be mother plants in 9cm pots that have been vegged 14wks under 250 CFL. Poor things.
They were in New Horizon sieved compost with 40% perlite and fed Formulex, seaweed, molasses & Canna bio-vega / & flores at 50% for last 7 days as I slowly reduced light hours.

I bought Granules, Silicon, Wetter and Boost and some loam/WormCast/Coir etc, after finally getting a stable'ish internet connection last month and some pocket money.

Having digested the enlightening and common sense posts from OT1 and other knowledgeable chaps I set about the following:

8 days ago (7.5.09)
I finely sieved up a 30% Loam, 25% WormCast 25% Coir & 20% used New Horizon/BB Allmix compost. (Rock dust in post - guess I'll seive and water in later / add to 15l repot)

Watered/fed the plants with 1/2 strength Bio-Flores, seaweed ext, molasses, PM Wetter & Silicon at minimum dosage or less as OT1 recommendations.

Waited approx 30 mins so the roots were wet an sticky then re-potted dusting the roots and hole of 6.5l pots with Granules and begun flowering em under a 600w hps.

The compost mix was quite moist and not having used coir before I was impressed at how it wicked the prior watering throughout the whole medium - so I felt there was no need to drench and gently watered in and planned a Boost drench the next day. At lights on I drenched with Boost at min dose, Wetter, 1/2 strength seaweed, & molasses.

I did this as OT1 seems to have suggested its OK to use Boost with other additives - ie when he's giving his mothers a monthly treat?

5 days ago (10.5.09) confirmed 3 of 8 plants were male giving the op to examine roots - multiple white roots touching the pot sides and a Daz white root explosion from the previous root ball - beautiful, PM, beautiful.

I'm able to examine my plants daily so I give the branches & stems a good bend n waggle to shape and strengthen and I've been impressed with the difference the Silicon has made - plants stems are stronger, more pliable and seem to retain forced position better - they appear happier to stay where you bent them for longer, anyone else experience this?

Not 100% as not used coir before, but the wetter seems to be making the compost nice and crummbly.

Yesterday (14.5.09) I have white roots emerging from all corner & base holes of all 5 x 6.5l pots, the girls are going pistule crazy and I've not got any nute burn.

I have a grow diary going - and will update it inc pics later today and link to it in future...smile.gif
