The situation is: -

11 strains in south facing plots in a good compost mix, 4/5 weeks old. I was wondering what success people have had with techniques, my main priority is to keep the height below 6/7 foot, but if yield can be improved so be it! This may also be a useful place for people to comment on what other strains they have had success topping/ super cropping etc outdoors.

Any advice on these strains would be much appreciated smile.gif They will only be fed nettle and comfrey tea in addition to the compost and nute mix initially planted in : -

Lemon Skunk
Gigabud (G13 Labs)
Great White Shark
White Rhino

Thai Super Skunk

Hi

have tried outdoors (in the UK, south facing but sheltered, occasionally shady garden)

early pearl (sensi seeds)
KC33 (KC brains)
Swiss mix (free seeds)
caramella (Homgrownfantaseeds)

so I cant really comment on those strains specifically though I'll be particularly interested to know how your AK47 auto will fare, as I am also experimenting with that

however, from the strains I have tried outdoors, I can feedback that it is predictably challenging to get the buggers to finish early enough in the UK before the cold and wet of autumn starts off the dreaded white mold killer issue

early pearl - just didn't cut the mustard outside. I finished one off indoors and it was tasty if not v strong ; alot of the others that were left out were mold affected but did result in some nice weed, probably comparable in stregnth to bush weed

KC33 - started it late and so was small. Did work well though and very nice weed it is too. From discussions elsewhere and my own exp, I recommend that if you buy KC Brains seeds, you take advantage of their extreme cheapness by buying many more than you would normally, and selecting out the good 'uns during the season & ditching the underperformers

Swiss mix - some very successful plants, with nice purple hues. Not wildly strong but stood up well against the rigours of shitty UK summer 08, decent yields... so a result!

Caramella - pick of the bunch. right at the end a few mold problems but basically knocked out some good, reasonably strong weed...

... cloned the best of these caramellas and ran off a bunch under a 250w indoors. worked a charm, very nice uppy weed.

Honestly, i reckon you'll have a hard time outdoors in the UK - of you are UK - with those strains as they mostly prefer indoor grows but wish you every success with them... my momney is on your autoAK being the most successful... but we shall see

all the best
