Hi folks was wondering if someone knows what is happening with my PC as it has been behaving strangely as of late, it is not a mojor problem but it is of some concern to me.
I have an old PC in my bedroom which I normally use for the internet and uk420, I have a newer home build downstairs in the lounge used for entertainment etc. The PC downstairs is hardwired to the internet and the PC upstairs connected via wireless internet connection, both PC's are through the same router. I use firefox 3 and windoze vista downstairs and windoze xp upstairs ( dons flame proof jacket ).
The problem is this, after using uk420 on the PC upstairs I log out clear my internet history, cache and cookies then turn off the PC. When I use the PC again and go to uk420 sometimes I am already logged in unsure.gif . This does concern me as I am not sure what is happening or if someone else is using or has access to my account on here somehow when I am not using it.
Any help or ideas about what is going on is appreciated.

Tree Man
are you signing into uk420 from both comps or just the one?

Normally just the one upstairs, sometimes I will use the one downstairs to sign in with but not often and when I do I clear my history, cache and cookies.

did firefox clear saved passwords?
or just an idea, perhaps change your password on the upstairs one, clear firefox again and see what happens..

thats different... that will just present you to the login page (with the username+password filled in the box, so you just click 'log in')

if your clearing your shit (cookies) and your going back and your logged in, then that does sound fishy.

maybe ask Joolz/mods to keep track of when you last logged in... ip address etc

I don't think it is someone else using my account unsure.gif ? I logg out on the on upstairs and if I access the net from the one downstairs then I am not logged into uk420, I then sign out and clear my cache and cookies and return to the one upstairs.
Only sometimes (approximately 50% of the time) I will return to the PC upstairs and already be logged in. I am thinking that is the site instantly recognizing my IP address where I am on here alot ?
It was ok this morning and prompted me to sign in, the pc upstairs is pretty old and shite it might be something to do with that lol.gif .

żIf you're using Firefox, have you made sure that the 'Authenticated Sessions' box is ticked on the 'Clear Private Data' section, and not just the cache? unsure.gif

Tools->Options->Privacy [Private Data]->'Always clear my private data when I close Firefox'->Settings->Authenticated Sessions

Yes Scribble I have just checked that, it was already ticked so should have already been clearing the authenticated sessions.
Thanks for looking in smile.gif .

Hi Hashishin, Dont worry about the possibility of someone hacking into your computer, 'sometimes' toolbars (hate em) and other safe anti-spyware/anti-virus programs have the ability to override the I.E history (i would presume the same is possible with firefox but you dont mention what browser you use in your upstairs p.c).

For this I would recommend giving CCleaner a go, Its a free downloadable program designed to remove internet history, cookies and your internet cache. It can also let you know what unused files may be clogging up your computer causing it to run slower as well.

CCleaner

Cheers TartanToker I already have this programme on my PC downstairs I will try it on the one upstairs aswell.
The thing I find really strange is that when I type in web addresses it has obviously cleared something as normally firefox will suggest similar web addresses to the one you are typing in, it suggests nothing. Then I go to the uk420 home screen with the enter/exit options, I select enter and I am already logged in unsure.gif .
Next time I will try typing %temp% into run and clearing all of the files, this may work along with running that cc cleaner.

Another thing that has been bothering me for a while is that I log out of uk420, every time I log back in it says welcome back your last visit was 1 minute ago unsure.gif .
Also when I log out it says I am logged out but if my friend uses uk420 it still says that I am logged in on his pc wacko.gif , any help or suggestions with this would be good.
