Hey,
I'm currently running a 150W MH in a very small space and using 4 comuter fans for cooling. The problem i'm having is that i have lots of electrical equipment lying around that needs sockets and at the moment all four fans have their own individual 12V adaptor plug. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how i could wire all 4 fans up to one plug?
Thanks

Thanks.
Been taking a look about the net. Any idea where i can pick up a transformer to do the job (or maybe just the spec to get one custom designed), cause i really don't know the first thing about electronics.
Ta muchly

I do believe (how posh), that you can buy scalelectrix 12v transformers.
The big ones, not the ones thats just a plug.
I have one and ran 8 12v fans from it.

If you want to do it right, buy something like this:
http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?cata...t%5Fid=22%2D504If you are looking for cheap, just use any transformer from a Cordless phone or powered speakers that is rated at 12v DC. Keep in mind you will need more than 1amp of power for more than 5 fans (guess?)
Use electric tape and make sure no metal is showing that can short out. Other than that. 12v DC is very safe to work with.

I don't mean to be a pain in the arse or sound simple here (but when it comes right down to it, i am), but how would i go about wiring up 5 or 6 different fans to that box Zen? Would i just trim the wires and stick them into the right sockets?
Thanks for the help guys!

To use this type of regulator...
You would first put all your fans near each other. Then grab a red wire from each of the fans. Strip the ends of each one to expose the metal wire.
Then twist all the ends of the red wires together. Then insert all the red wires (which should be like one large wire) into the red regulator post.
Then do the same with the black wires.
The key is keeping all the positive (red) wires togther, and all the negative (black) wires together.
Not sure how much detail I need to explain.
