Full Version: I am starting my fist grow today....
UK420 > Cultivation > Outdoor Growing > Growing Under Glass
Easy life
1. Germinate 5 seeds in layers of toilet paper.,Big Bang , El Nino, Himalya Gold, cheese, White widow(All femnised
2, when seeds have popped will drop into wet jiffy pellets
3.Put on windosill for about a week(Not direct sunlight all the time
4. When roots appear and the plant is a about 2/3 inches i will then put in a greenhouse, using soil.
5, Water daily and wait

AS a first time grower this seems the best plan after reading and using tips from people on this site(Thanks) and ignoring the odd bellend.
Can anyone think of little tweaks to improve this method i am employing.
Also what do i need to look out for that may damage my plants(Not the old bill, cops etc...)
Many thanks for everyones help and once my project is on the go i will post some pics.

Looks ok but have you not got a couple of low energy bulbs you could rig up to start them? Would be alot quicker and temps would be nicer at night. They only use a small amout of leccy too lol.gif
Mr P
Good luck on the first grow mate, looks like you got it covered there. Just make sure you don't water them too much, watering everyday might be over the top. Water well when you do but every other day/few days should be fine wink1.gif

Have fun! yinyang.gif

I'd second what Mr P says, don't water those seed/seedlings everyday. Let the soil dry out a bit before you water otherwise you will risk getting damping off and killing your seedlings cry.gif Have a look at the watering links here for advice.

Edited to add: Good luck with the grow, hope you'll keep us updated smile.gif

I would recommend getting some lecky in there and having an oscillating fan running or even 2 depending on the size of your greenhouse. It helps lower the temps on hot days and lower the condensation which can cause bud rot. Also always leave your door open during the day and warmer nights but get yourself some shelter shade netting over the opening to stop the bugs getting in. I have had a few temp problems in my poly tunnel this season.

Other than that good luck biggrin.gif
