Has anyone actually read the advertising garbage for Long John Silver?Codswallop, toffe, and tripe are some of the more polite terms for whoever dreamt that rubbish up,and please, please,PLEASE tell me thats not 75 quid for one seed????Anyone ever had a braindead moment and bought seeds?

As believe it or not this is deciduous herbaceous perennial strain!

For those of you that are not that horticulturally aware this means it has the ability to re-emerge after it has died.

Yes the seeds and not so commonly the plant can over winter and re-emerge come the spring, as in this little, or should we say big beauty will auto flower once it is established - if left to be it will set seeds, then these seeds will grow and then these plants will do the same thing so on and so forth ad infinitum!

For those of you that have still not seen the light, this means that it can grow wild and if left unchecked will colonise the areas where it is placed! in one season it can produce 3-4 generations of offspring and as each generation matures they will do the samething!

unsure.gif Verbally verbacious diarrhoea rofl.gif
weedineed
wow so what their saying is that this does what most plants do die off for the winter but shed seeds first. wooooooooooowwwwww
Bad Penny.
Not this one mate, its a zombie plant,re-awakens after it dies unsure.gif How can anyone in their right mind fall for this toffee,I just looked at their catalogue, talk about jumping on the bandwagon rofl.gif I would like to see the size of Mr W's house, must be a mansion the prices he charges for a couple of beans ph34r.gif
Scribb|e
Naah - they'd never get away with it - if that was the case, someone would take them to the Trading Standards and complain about how their plants had grown nothing like the blurb said. whistling.gif

Ganja_Devotee
Any one mug enough to pay for them deserves to get ripped off i reckon ffs

75 quid for one seed
Bad Penny.
If you rofl.gif I wonder how much business he catually does, the price says 75 notes with no indicator as to numbers of seed in the packet, saying that with a plant that continually emerges like a phoenix from the ashes you never need more than one anyway ph34r.gif
Bad Penny.
Rumour has it a certain firm simply re-packages other seedbanks beans and adds a few notes on top of the price,I dont live so far from Guildford ph34r.gif
Ganja_Devotee

This variety has been a long time coming and definitively confirms that the times they are a changing! As believe it or not this is deciduous herbaceous perennial strain!

In plain English this variety can grow wild and colonise - if left will come back with a vengeance every season there after!

This strain has similar genetic characteristics as the Long John Silver (auto flowering) variety however is more productive both in yield and active ingredients compared to its more mellow younger brother.

400-450 gram yield from whats essentially a lowryder cross and is advertised as 7 weeks from seed-harvest???? unsure.gif Someones been smoking some STRONG shit unsure.gif

Other seed banks have tried to buy the entire supply from us to stop these seeds hitting the market for fear of what this would do to the seed industry! But lol.gif this is more important than mere money! - let these seeds go forth and prosper and re take what is rightfully theirs smile.gif

Bad Penny.
Fiver for a signature?I think thats what my Doc charged when he countersigned my shotgun application rofl.gif I just re-read the advert, they bred the seeds for sale, other seedbanks tried to buy the entire stock but they didnt sell to them as this is more important than money but the seeds are 75 quid? You couldnt make that up if you were sober could you unsure.gif rofl.gif
ordinaryguy
but maybe with these seeds we can grow proper weed???? It must be like buying an amp where the volume goes up to eleven pinch.gif biggrin.gif
Bad Penny.
Connor, your mates must be loaded to even contemplate spending 300 quid on a single pack of seeds unsure.gif as for non-viable,well,it wouldnt surprise me one iota ph34r.gif
Bad Penny.
He has been doing it for long enough, the guy must have no shame,I just thought that description of a lowryder is the funniest most misleading advert I have seen in a long time perusing seed catalogues and websites,12 ounces from seed in 7 weeks, must be great being gullible unsure.gif
Bad Penny.
Forgot to add, while checking the site out earlier I spotted 50 feminised seeds for only £1175.00,hmmnnnn,tempting unsure.gif

Some of my friends went through a Pukka(doggies) phase. the results were decent, the feminized all germinated and were indeed female. The price is another matter dont know how they get away with it tbh sad.gif

So basically it's an auto-flowering hermaphrodite.

lol.gif no thanks!
samsson
this lot are just down right con men , Crooks
Bad Penny.
Thing is samsson that seed-bank has been around for years so they must be making money?
ununnilum
I wonder if the name of the strain is supposed to be a joke, after all they are robbing people blind. The same with their "Doggies Nuts" brand name, as the owners must have a pair on them to rip people off for £300+ on a daily basis. I'd like to know why people actually buy from them, surely most people don't have more money than sense? Well I can always hope, I guess.

They also claim to be selling G13 which kind of gives them away as fraudsters to anyone who does any research. They are probably selling budgie seed because as the seeds are illegal to germinate no one can sue them without exposing themselves.

A friend of a friend paid 300 for seeds that didnt germ from good old [removed] Pukka Jeff and none germed. EPJ refused to refund but quickly changed his mind when the fella said he'd spend another 300 to send some pikeys round to trash his Rip Off Emporium, sorry, grow shop.

I read a thread on here a while ago where people were debating the use of the word "pikey" and a fair few people found it offensive because it is a racial term. I once read about someone getting arrested for calling someone else a pikey. I'm surprised no one has trashed their shop though.

Advertising has really paid of for these jokers, i can remember seeing ads for both companies in the back of lots of magazines for well over 10 years. All they need is a few people to buy into the idea that their seeds/equipment will perform wonders and their profit margin does the rest.
cam mcneil
i saw them on a site... have you also noticed their g13 price? almost spat my coffee everywhere when i saw the price, somas pack of 10, 120euro, these jokers 445quid!!! nearly fell offf my chair when i saw it! who in their right mind would buy them when theres proven people floggin them for a 1/4 of the price and their at, whaat i thought was, the top end of the market in terms of price!
Bad Penny.
Must be someone buying their beans, they are still in business, reminds me of the marketing experiment I once saw, some supermarket had identical tins of beans, labelled one pallet of tins as "Own brand" right next to another pallet with a famous baked bean label, the majority of people paid the extra even though both products were the same rofl.gif £445? rofl.gif But at the same time while we are laughing and mocking the price Mr W is laughing all the way to the bank unsure.gif
mudkipz
You people just don't aprreciate the perfect seed specimen when you see it
£445 for seeds is a bargain!
whats wrong with you bloody peasents, get a job!

Seriously, my whole growing career(a little over a year) with over 1,000w hasn't cost that, nutes & all... then I am completely skint...

You can actually get grow tent setups from greens for like £300, can't beleive anyone would spunk that much money on the worlds greatest seeds...

But then again, they do have invincible rederalis genetics...
OMGZZZ clearly this is the genetically enginereed skunk thats taking over our countryside, maybe the Daily Mail fell for their 'enlightening' descriptions of their shitryders
