Hi guys I bought some compost last year to do a grow but never got round to doing 1 so the soil has been in the bag for about a year now, will this make a difference to the quality. If so, how long does compost normally last before it goes bad?

Cheers

Hiya - some links for you - a few different opinions as you will see.

I've read that the base nutes start to degrade after about 6 months, plus you might have bugs in it. Open it up and have a sniff - if it still smells good I'd be happy to use it.
