i have never tried before,and im not too sure how to go about it either
so any help out there is much welcomed
the cheapest way possible sounds great to me aswell
so please dont be shy and help this poor smoker ,so he doesnt have to keep paying these silly prices

A good start would be a tent, extraction fans and a sodium light.

we could also do with some info from you

how much space you have available?

i take it your gonna be starting in soil?

how much budget ya got for equipment?

tent or room?

are you gonna be growing from seed?

there are alot of factors involved, you can do 1 or 2 plants in a little cupboard with a 250w light
and leave the door open for air exchange.

or you can spend some money and grow more plants in a bigger area with more lights/wattage
and use fans for air exchange.

then theres the feed (nutes) are you goin budget tomato feed or spending more cash on some good quality nutes

everyone has their own opinions but if you want a good yield with a few plants and stay stealthy whilst doin
it then you deff gotta part with some cash, its just a case of how much?

Hey dude, welcome to uk420!

Best way to start is to have a read through some grow diaries and look in the Grow FAQ's in the forums. If you've got a small space look at the micro grows, dr60 grow tent grows and anything else you can find where the grow room has small dimensions. If you've got the space and the money then look for people who are growing with 600w plus lights. This sort of size will give you some big fat buds, which is what most guys starting to grow wanna aim for

You basically need to think about providing your plants with co2, a little bit of warmth, some decent light, and a nice pot full of some good soil so your plants roots can grow and develop.

If your really on a budget check out the DIY section. There's people on there who've got some decent results using things like 6 normal light bulbs on a home-made reflector.

Have a ganders around the site and within a few days you'll have picked up the basics and will be starting to plan YOUR grow room!

i do have 2 choices for my grow room
spare bedroom or cellar
cellar is a little damp but im sure i could sort that out
so is the cellar the best choice ?
i understand the heat will show thru the roof, and may be spotted.
is this true?
i will be aiming for growing 3 plants to start with, i have some cuttings on the way

hello tickler and welcome

I like yourself am new to this. im 6 or so months in. I spent 5 of those planning researching and saving to get it right...and planning is what you need to do, dont rush it, buy the right kit, read as much as you can and dont get overwhelmed...There are some basics you will need to get it right.

a light
a ballast (if you go hps)
a reflector
a timer or two
an extraction fan to take out stale air
a carbon filter to get rid of the small and stop you from getting busted
an intake fan (optional depending on space)
a fan mooving air around in the space (I use a 6" clip on fan)
some plants
some food for the plants
some soil or compost
a hydromiter
some pots

I think thats the basic set up...Im sure theres someone with a lot more experience who can add to that list...basicly you can spend what you like. My set up cast nearly a grand but ive gone for the best, 600w light, mini growstar reflector, digi balast big fan etc etc but I know people who are growing ok weed at a couple of onces a grow with small lights (cfl's and envirolites), no extraction, no filter and on a super low budget...like a few hundred quid.

Most of all enjoy yourself.

This site and the people who use it are amazing and will teach you all you need to know

Oh and I'd go for the spare room...keep it away from the damp and the problems that could cause...again Im no expert.

ok so i will use my spare room
i will start with cocoa soil and nutrients
sodium 400 light
i can fit an extractor fan in the ceiling,for removing heat and odours
i will start with 3 cuttings, not sure what strain they are, but the guy im getting them from is the guy i buy my smoke from, so should be ok
is it worth buying second hand?
or should i buy new (lighting)
i will kit out my spare room in the comming weeks
and will keep you all intouch in how im doing

It might also be a good idea too add a small water butt and an air pump to springchikens list so that you can put as much air into you water as possible.

It might also pay to get a hose pipe long enough to run from your bathroom too the spare room. I find its save a lot of leg work running too and from the tap filling watering cans

hi mate i would try canna coca not soil about same price here but great stuff you just need a bag of coca a few pots hand warter with 2 part coca food the same food is used to grow and flower i have had very few probs this way and now use all canna products check canna web site all the best and good luck peace
