Has anybody used this? Asda are selling it for £3 for 20 litres and I was considering trying it out as I have just germed 10 seeds. From what I read on the back of the pack it has Vermiculite and something for holding moisture.

I can either buy this Asda stuff or spend a bit extra on JI Seed & Cutting Compost.

vermiculite holds moisture, perlite provides aireation in the soil, id go for the good stuff (not asda) alot of people have used JI with good results, and aslong as its not too chunkey go with the better brand that people have had good results with, or mabe pick up 1 of each and test for yourself.

Go for the JI seed and cutting compost, no point spending all that money on seeds and whatnot only to save a few pounds and put them in some shit starting compost.

I got 25lt of JI seed & cuttings for £4.50 instead of the asda stuff. I'm sure they asda stuff was good but there is no point cutting corners for the sake of £1.50.
