hi
im currently building my new growroom after moving house , this time the grow is going to be in the attic, the attic is a spare bedroom so ive built a 3x2 partition along one side which gives me a growing are of 2m x 1m x 2.3m
ive lined the whole groowroom area with 90 or 100mm kinspan and silver taped all the joins up
what i would like to know is do you think it would be wise to invest in some aircooled hoods, if so does anyone know what ones are good.....ive read mixed reports on the cool tubes regarding light spread
im planning on having 2 x 400w air cooled hoods ( maybe cooltubes ) do you think one 5 inch fan would be enough to cool the 2 lamps ?
thanks

With that space, I think you might needa bigger fan.
I use 10" fan, its overkill but not far off from what i need for 2 x 2 x 1.5m. you have to account for drag from the CF too

cheers logic just what i was thinking , i already have 2 5 inch fans i use for intake and extraction i was thinking of getting a 4 inch fan for intake and using the 2 5 inchers on the extraction, like
Filter - fan - ducting - hood - ducting - hood - ducting - fan - out
this would work right ?

that the way you wan to set it all up mate .... like the above states its better to go overkill on the fans as you can always get a fan controller ..
this will help with noise to
imo you can never have to much venting !!!!

nice one peppi cheers, i thought it would be !
the 2 5 inchers already have a controller built in to them so thats gonna save me a bit
just gonna go and check out some hoods......anyones that are real good ? and anyones i should avoid
as i said before i have seen mixed reports on the cool tubes, so does anyone have any experience using other hoods?
thanks again
