Hi all,

First post so guess I should introduce myself a little, I have never grown before but have been pretty much forced into it by economics and the desire to stay away from stuff sprayed with all sorts of lovely contaminants (read brick dust, sugar water, paint, etc...) put on by the black market to increase profits, I’m sure smoking some of the stuff has shorted my life by quite a few years. pinch.gif

So two weeks ago I started looking into growing, particularly into guerrilla growing as at present I am unable to grow indoors. My search for information eventually lead me to this site, which I have to say is the most welcoming and relevant to the UK.

The past week I have been wondering round the woods and fields where I live to find suitable growing spots, I believe I have found three so far, on my walks I went prepared with a small trowel to find out what kind of soils I will have to deal with.

My first plot seems to have very good soil (sandy loam), and is on a south facing hill, lots of brambles and nettles with trees surrounding, but not blocking the sun.

The second however is heavy clay soil, and as such will require a lot more effort in preparation. This site is roughly a 3 mile hike, but is located near a good water source. Huge trees and bushes cover the site and surround it so it doesn’t receive the best lighting.

The Third I have yet so visit so soil conditions are unknown, however I do know it lacks a water supply, so this means carrying water on the 5 mile hike, and it is south / south east facing.

Now I have my sites I had to decide on seeds, my first thought was Lowryder #2 as from what I have read they are a pretty easy grow, but yield can be lacking. I then looked into Durban Poison as a main crop, however I have ditched this idea as I want to keep it simple as possible for my first grow, and hopefully the dwarfs will be harder to spot if anyone happens to stumble upon my sites.

So this brings me up to date, and it is roughly two weeks till I get paid, which should be enough time to prepare the sites ready for transplant.

But I do have a nagging question, I have read a lot about the obvious threat of being caught by the police, but how big is this danger? Because as far as I can see, if the police did find my grow site with 2 or 4 plants, would they really bother to do a stake out?
Does anyone have any experience with this kind of situation?
If so and were caught, what happened? As information on this is very tough to find.

Also anyone have some good reading material on fertilizers? This area seems to be a mine field of misinformation, gimmicky products and buzz words.

Pictures will follow, I will need to dig out my digital camera, I have taken pictures with my phone but as most my walking about has been at dusk the quality is very poor.

I view this as a test grow, and will be happy to get any buds at all, any comments and suggestions welcome.

Thanks spliff.gif

they'd never bother staking out your growsite for a few small plants - probably just destroy them

remember the police have much better things to do like stopping motorists with a number plate bulb out pinch.gif
