Hi guys,

Sorry if this has already been asked, but I couldnt find any info on it amywhere.

I am on my second attempt at producing clones from cuttings using an aeroponic propogator. The first run, I waited about 4 weeks and gave up after still seeing no signs of roots. The cuttings were growing quite quickly above ground and producing new leaves, but weren't producing roots of any description. I've had the second lot in for a week now, and the same thing is happening.

I have them on the very edge of the veg room, about 8 feet from the main light and slightly shielded by a clear purple plastic sheet thing to stop them getting too much light.

Anybody know whats going wrong here? Not sure if it's too much light/not enough light or if they are receiving so much water from the aeroponic mist that they areputting all their energy intoproducing leaves? Im stumped, have produced clones with about a 70% success rate using a normal propogator and root riot cubes so am assuming the light levels are OK?

Any help or comments hugely appreciated!!

I built my own aero prop recently and have been using it with a 30w floro next it, seems to work just right, they like really weak light. I also have water temp at 72. Takes about a week to a week and a half to show roots, doesn't really grow any new leaves that i've noticed. Im using plastic collars instead of any medium, I like it as you can watch the roots form from little bumps every day when you check em. So far i've had no deaths from 2 batches of cuttings this way.
I think if they are growing more leaves then it's probably too much light.

Try using root hormone
