probably envirolite, tho its bound to reduce final yield

Why not just move the bulb and ballast from that room to the other? Or are there others getting moved into the room there in just now?

ill bite
the reflectors fitting is E40 and sure as shit so is a envirolite or similar , 25 big ones on ebay and you have a bulb that can be just plugged in except it cant as the wiring from the reflector will have a kettle end on it , sooooo see if you have a kettle lead from an old kettle or computer and see if the fitting is applicable , if not then ebay the correct end and make yourself a lead or say bollox to it and cut the end off and stick a plug on it
total cost say 30 squid on the bulb and 50 pence on the plug

Envirolites are fine but if you only have reflector you will probably need a cable with opposite kettle plug to whats on the reflector and a house plug on the other end.
My 250w Envirolite cost £45, lamp only so you are better getting the ballast.
Ye but a ballast will be roughly £80 and another £20 ish for a bulb so its a fair difference if your on a budget.
E2a:- if you need to move them out because you need to start more flowering you would be better to keep the ones at 5 weeks under the HPS and the ones that you plan to move into the room to start flowering would be better to start under an enviro for the first few weeks i'd think.

right ok,sorry,a little vague as the story unfolds............they were in a 1.2 x 1.2 tent with 3 others and acouple of weeks ago i foolishly stripped all the lower leaves off the offending three, leading to what i now know are definate hermies.i took em out the tent and asked around last night about what to do with the 5 week old flowering nyc deisel,to mixed reports, they are covered in bud and covered in seed, was gonna just make hash out of the resulting bud but it may not be worth it.i understand that buying the right kit now will help if it happens in the future, but i already have a flowering tent(600w),a vegging tent(250w) and a envirolight on the cuttings, its getting out of control.....best hobby i've ever had though

stripping the lower leaves off wont get cause hermies. either you have light leaks or they were just naturally hermies, or they've been stressed in other ways and were prone to hermie. if they're literally covered in seeds likely they were just genetic hermies anyway, and all the plants in there will be seeded anyway, may as well keep them till the end now. and you will definately have plenty of hash making material, if you remove the seeds, you'll still have good strong smokable bud, but you'll almost certainly end up smoking a seeds or two

CFL's have built in ballast's which when they break you need a new ballast as well.
Better off buying a HPS ballast especially if you already have a reflector cheaper in the long run.
Real cheap option finish her in the garden taking them in and out to make sure they get 12/12
