Need to get a cooltube for my 250 watt hps.

Will any cooltube fit it or are there 250 specific tubes?

Can I fit extractor to it , pulling air through it and out of the room?
I've some pics on here where people have ducting going from cool tube out both sides of grow space.

All info appreciated , cheers

extracting through the tube is a bit risky when the humidity goes up (flowering) but lots of people do it without electricuting themselfs! just keep an eye out for moisture in the tube where the bulb is, high voltage there!

Why would there be ANY risk of electrocution? The cooltube is esentially an extra layer of insulation. A glass sleeve to go around your 250w bulb which is already a sealed unit. Yes you can fit extraction to the tube, that's the point of it in fact.

You do need a 250w specific cooltube.

Mine has been set up like this with the fan pushing through the tube.

Hey mate when i use my tube during the warmer months i connect FILTER-TUBE-FAN(sucking) and extract out my drobe. But this isnt the ideal. The best way would be to have it so fresh air is coming from outside the room by means of ducting through ya tube and straight back out again. Only thing with this method is ya would need an extra fan to connect ya filter to.

E2a: The tubes come in 2 different diameters 125mm and 150mm(not definate) but ya dont actually buy specific 250w tubes its ya ballast that matters about wattage.
