Hello folks
I got me some Nepalese Charas Sativa seeds which I am going to start germing today. I will be doing a full diary on this grow. I will be starting them on a window ledge and maybe Ill whack them under my Envirolight, they will then proceed to my secret outdoor spot (My garden) where they will join in the shannanagins and tomfoolery with some female Church and Cheese plants.
I have 5 seeds and will be weeding all but the largest of the male plants (Hopefully not too many males to weed out) and maybe let nature take its course with my female Church and Cheese, will be making hash with all the plants, maybe keeping the odd bud here and there to smoke.
Oooh am quite excited

only really planned growing my femmed Church and Cheese but this years grow has suddenly got a bit "Kinky"
Happy times
EDIT - I am no expert but I am gonna give it my best shot and hopefully get the help when I need it from you good fellows of UK420. Looking forward to a day in late October when a large ball of quality hash will hopefully materialise

Sorry I cannot edit the above and I just re-read it, it sounds like I would be chopping my females too. I will be keeping all females and the strongest of any male.

Hi Grimble,
Are you UK Grimble? Excuse my lack of knowledge but will the frost not kill them if they finish that late?

Southeast mate.
Going to keep them out as late as possible to see what happens when the frost hits but generally we have fairly warm winters and frosts in january, febuary.

Happy times, me SE too. I am happy for my plants to grow tall as there is a fence next to my spot so the higher they get the more light they will get. Gonna put them in some mighty big containers and hope the grow like the clappers. Gonna make some nice hash with them and also gonna let the strongest male make love with my female Church and Cheese if it feels horny

Good luck with your grow Martin, haven`t had any good quality hash for years, one concern though, judging by earlier photos you`re area looks built up,won`t the neighbours see them?

hey Grimble
is that one of our Neps?
if it is then you should fint plants in there which will be done by mid to late Oct --- I would think they will all have finished up by mid Nov
they will only go to Jan - Feb if they are lowland ganja sativas from the low valleys or the Terai of Nepal
I would be amazed if they would make it through to that late outdoors without a greenhouse

It should be pretty safe, its a private road with no access apart from residents and neighbours cant see really

good luck with it matey, you must be pretty confident from previous experience that your secure growing in your garden.... i wouldnt risk it personnally, but then my garden backs on to a main road.... if i had cheese(or any strain justabout) growing it would only be a matter of time before i had kids in my garden pulling my plants up.... or some special needs police officer bashing through my door. looks like your gonna have some yummy hash to tide you over the winter.... what a joy!

now that is some good news, i also have Nepalese and Hindu Kush (unsure which strain, i cant remember now but there's no info on the RSC website i could find, well none that matched my seeds anyway

) which i was kindly given as a freebies when buying my Lebanese seeds, Thank you.
After some research i assumed these Neps were very late flowering and get about 10 ft high

do they get that tall, if they do then i'm fucked for outdoors,

and how tall do you let them get indoors before you flick to flower if you only got 1.5m head room
and looking at the Hindu Kush....3-4m

good luck with these guys, i think i'll leave them this year until i see how big yours gets,
think i'll pull up a chair for this one

Well, i think you could prune them quite hard until they start flowering (keep them about 20 or 30 centimeters). This way they won't get too tall and you'll have really thick branches ! I guess that's what i'm gonna do with my outdoor nepaleses this season ^^

All the best for the grow - there weather sure has been damn nice lately!

All the best Martin

Might I suggest a celebratory Fray Bentos to go with the hash mate

Could be
really kinky and cure a nug with Fray Bentos to add an exquisite note of flavour and really jiggle up the aromatic terpenes
Excuse my ramblings - just popped in to wish you all the best with the grow

Arbuscule, fear not, there will be plenty of Fray once these babies are ready for chopping. When they go outdoors I plan on taking some pictures of myself with my plants, using a Fray tin as a mask. Plenty of tomfoolery to come rest assured.

this plant was a lowland Nepalese female ganja plant --- I would guess it was a good 4m tall... the highest branches were a good 3 stories high or so - the perspective of the pic makes it hard to tell
it's a lowland ganja plant - would not have been ready until February by the look of it --- it was already planned to use it for Shivratri (Shiva night) in February

Apr 26 2009, 03:44 PM
here's another shot of the Nepalese ganja plant --- another shoddy pic
the more asymmetric growth pattern of the plant should be clear - far as I can see this is characteristic of the majority of ganja cultivars from within or near the Asian tropics --- this would be from about 28N... the tallest shoot had grown way off at a tangent and gone to around 4m or so, possibly more

so far from what i'm seeing this is a winner for northern outdoors growers. I'll be sure to keep a few specimens to cross with slower sativas
dropped a few seeds and all have sprouted quickly and rocketed up

Quick update.
I did 3 seeds of which one popped very quickly and is growing like the clappers, one needed a bit of a hand but is now growing and the other did not pop. The one that popped first has shot up like nothing I have seen, very vigorous indeed. Ill post pics later

hey - I'd give that third one a chance, it might still show --- generally have been seeing and hearing of close to 100% on these Neps, and as you say, very vigorous too... look fwd to seeing those pics

HI Namkha
Yeh I will leave it be as the other one was a lagging and now its taking off. I am shocked as to how quick the first one went up, you could almost watch the little blighter growing it was that fast

Update - Pics to follow later
Of the 3 seeds, one has grown very quick but is a bit stretchy, one is growing very slow indeed and the other never popped.
I germed 2 more seeds yesterday and they have popped already!!!!!

Hey
Did you say you had a pack of Nepalese with 10 seeds in?
If it was 10 seeds, then what you have is actually Ex-Stock
I think I put some put some packs in as freebies with some orders I sent out --- a bit of a foolish move really, as they were ex-stok because they got left in a hot place for three or four days so are probably slightly damaged
Good luck with them anyway
MartininLondon
May 19 2009, 02:07 PM
Hey no worries Namkha
They were gifted to me as "Souvenirs" by someone you sent them to as freebies

Not complaining, the one that started growing first is growing like a maniac, the two I have just popped managed to pop in less than 24 hours on a wet kitchen towel.
They look like winners
Ill be grabbing some seeds from you for next years outdoor grow for sure.

Here are the Nep Charas Sativa
The first two pics are of seeds that popped on the same day, one has gone nuts and the other is a slow starter. The pic after that are of two that were popped the other day, they both popped in well under 24 hours and seem to be vigorous little ladies (I hope they are ladies). If I get one big male I am going to keep it and see what happens with the others that will sit outside with it. All this grow (And the other one) will go to make hash, inspired by some of the threads on here, HydroNaut's, Grobag's et al.

Quick update, I will post pics soon
I went away for a few days and failed to tell the person staying at my house to water my Neps which are currently in my bedroom.
I am deeply embarrassed and somewhat pissed off with myself but shit happens.. The largest and stretchiest of the Neps looks like its dead, the other 3 are fine and coming along OK though maybe a little slow.

So this is the squat nepalese I posted a pic of on may 23, the temperature outside was in the late teens with single digit nights ( celcius ), it survived without any problem but I wasn't expecting much growth in the rainy weather we were having so that's why I took it inside and put it under fluorescent lighting.
I still have the tall ones but they're not very photogenic because of a fan accident... poor ladies got disfigured by it.
I'll be taking clones of all my plants so that i can make seeds with a larger population in the future.
