Eyy people startin my 09 guerilla grow,

NL Special from KC brains
Malonica from Crazy X
Purple Widow from De sjaman

This diary is really just for me to see the progress i make with my plants as last year i didnt have much sucess due to being poorly prepared/organised.
im hoping to keep 1 female out of each pack to try and force flower them, read alot about it but its really just a little experiment i dont mind if it all fails.
anyway got my NL and Malonica germing as we speak. 4 of the NL have popped their heads up already after just over 24 hours..
i have a heated propagator but the temps in their get to over 40 so i only really use it at night when temps drop.
the propagator is on SE facing windowsill and all the seeds are in B&Q seedling compost.
the plan is to keep them inside until start of may then transport them to their home, exept for the 3 ill keep in my garden or greenhouse to try force flower.

thats about it... ima be postin pics up evry couple of days if any1 has any advice please let me know any help is appreciated.

heard alot of bad reviews about the germing rate of kc brains but so far ive planted 5 and 4 have come up.

little update.. Day 3


ive since planted 5 more NL and theyve popped aswel now 10 out of 10!
and all 5 malonica came up too
theyve all stretched abit.. some more than others the malonica arnt too bad but some of the 1st NL have stretched to around 3 inches!

5 hours later they seem ok, suppose wont know really till tomorow.


anyone got any tips for the stretching? will they turn out ok later on in the veg period?

Make sure if theyre starting to stretch you can get a bit of wind on them, this helps stimulate thicker stems to stop the plant from tipping over on itself and being weak.

Just make sure they egt enough light, if nothing good is happening outside bring em inside.

not alot to report, growth seems reaaaaally slow compared to last year but im putting it down to not having enough light.
saying that the sun over the past couple of days has give them a little boost.

ey people went to my plots today to check how things are goin,
only had a few hours of rain earlier but it looked really boggy, but last week it was bone dry with the sun
anyone have any advice what to do? i dont want the roots to rot wen they go out but i dont want them to dry up in the summer?

Day 21

gave them a watered down feed with some B&Q soluble general purpose plant food and they seem really happy looking alot greener and stems are thickening up.

Looking good, no need to feed at this stage as there's always the chance you burn, stunt or kill them .. believe me, I've done it!

What method are you gonna use? I'm going to try 3 days of total darkness, doubt it'll work but like you it will just be an experiment. Good luck with your guerilla grow.

Looking damn healthy! Fingers crossed they stay that way..it's tempting to over-feed them. Let them tell you when to feed them. Just give the babies water at this point and if you need to feed anything, then start with a very weak dose

i WAS going to cover them with a black bin bag and move them somewhere cooler and darker for 12 hours but i just keep thinking mould its gona be humid under a black bag the girls wont be able to breathe.. so im looking for a thick breathable (cheap) material to use instead..
my plan is to cover the plants up at around 5 - 6 o clock evening, wait til it gets dark take the cover off then its already dark until sunrise the next morning.
let me know how yours goes, will be intersted to see if it works!

thanks for the advice mate, the new growth was looking abit yellow and the overall growth was and still seems tediously slow thought id give them a boost, after i seen what damage it can do im leaving the food well alone for a while

Anybody else force flowering this year??? would be interested to hear what methods people are using.

Are you gonna cover them up every day for the whole flowering period? would a hessian sack do the job??

ye mate, tedious task but it will be worth it hopefully
i didnt think to use a hessian sack, wouldnt i have to use two tho to completely block out the light?

Yes they do. mine shown after about 1.5 to 2 months. And there not auto flowering

Lush looking greenery there G. You can always use the gene finder method, worked a treat for me. Throw them to 12/12 for only 3 days, then back to outdoors, or 18/6. In another week, they'll show their bits. Last year I stayed 12/12 until they showed their bits, big mistake, I had a trunk load of mutations come planting.

I'll definatley be joining you with a force flower experiment now I've got a site close to home. Plants look beuatiful dude specially that purple stemmed NL. Good luck

ok so i put 3 of my biggest healthyest looking NL in their final spots the other day, i left them in the pots til i had some spare time to dig them in...
went to check on them yesterday and.......


their gone!

brilliant! not too botherd because i have a few more but none of them were as nice as these three, plus i hope its just someone else found them and not police etc o well back to the drawing board (google maps)

Shiiiit, soz to hear of the losses G-bud.

Even if it was the police that found them they won't do anything about 3 plants. I doubt it was the police though, probably the land owner or a do-gooder.... the police concentrate on doing things that will move them closer to promotions and pay-rises, like annoying drunk people at closing time so they swear at the police and the police can fine them.

Idiotic for someone else to steel them, i mean either they are going to grow themself in which case, why arnt they doing so already if thats there plan? they should be buying seeds and growing at home or on their own plot.

or if they are thief which clearly they are, surely they would of been better to steel in flowering

Kids is my guess ,their be drying those leaves on a radiator ready to smoke idiots,dont let it get you down the site was obviuosly not secure enough,better to lose a few youngens then lose them when their in full flower,just make sure you next site is safe,good luck.

hey people thanks for all the replys off everyone, havnt been on here for a while my internet has been playing up.

the original 20-odd is now down to 6

i have 1 female malonica that i am force flowering its been going for just over a week now, starting to stink of lemon zest when it comes out of the dark room. heres a pic of it;

heres two of my northern lights and two completely different phenos
the 1st one dosnt smell too much unless its disturbed and smells quite fruity. the 2nd one stinks all the time really skunky cheesy smell, the person i live with described it as 'tarmac/fence paint-ish almost'

and one of my purple widows.. had alot of problems with these with red spots on the leaves and leaves falling off this was the best one out of 12

i know mate whats up with that??? must just be a bad year for growers iv'e read quite a few diarys people having trouble.
i just hope people dont get put off by it.

I was suprised how quickly it started flowering, one of the NL's im forcing hasnt done a thing yet.
Is it because the malonica is more sativa than the NL?


also i had 1 female NL that was more sativa dominant than the others, it was a beast, outgrew all the others by far, i remember reading somewhere the sativa pheno is better than the indica? (duno how true that is ) so i took a couple cuttings from it anyway.
Reckon theres enough time for them to go outside to get a nice yeild?
