just getting ready to start my first grow. already had a bit of help from you guys to get me started, now just need to make final choice on seeds. after trawling through all the seed sites i've noticed that nirvana always seem to come out as one of the cheapest. i'm trying to make my mind up over Master Kush, PPP, or White Rhino.

Has anyone used nirvana before and did you get good/bad results?
Are they cheap for a reason, is it worth spending more on other brand names?

very easy
almost impossible to overfeed
nice yield good potency
and always the chance u will find ya self that illusive purple pheno

nirvna northern lights,easy and potent big yield,but a lot of varients.and the chrystal is super potent
dont let the cheap price put you off ive tryed alot of seed companys and to my surprise had some of my best from nirvana. only problem is there copys so you will find more variants(phenos) but i enjoy this cause you dont no what you might find

do yaself a favour. Get some lemon skunk from greenhouse seeds. £18 for 5 or £35 for 10. Great first time strain. You will thank me! I promis ya.

IV ALWAYS USED FEMINISED GREENHOUSE SEEDS. CHEEP AS CHIPS AND IVE NEVER HAD ANY PROBS WITH UM

Bubblicious is very easy and sweet as candy! Also recommend Northern Lights, very tasty pheno in mine about 6 years ago.

funny that cos i wouldnt use GHS again!!!! thought they were rubbish.

as for nirvana... i grew them a lot in my early days & never had any problems. easy to grow, good yeilds, nice smoke & cheap. only thing i found with nirvana strains in that the plants were all different phenos so size n shape varied enormasly.

go for it with nirvana, then try your luck with more expensive seeds if your not happy.

I grew out Nirvanas White Rhino and Master Kush and the White Rhino is better IMO .

I also had problems taken cuttings of the Master Kush but they might have just been me .

Not tried there PPP but used to grow there BBxNL for ages and was a great strain to grow'n'smoke.

You do get a load a different phenos with Nirvana but makes it more fun growing the whole pack out .

I wouldn't touch GHS or any other feminized seeds with a barge pole again,

Just cause something is expensive doesn't make it better in the canna world .

Much better IMO to kill the males and take cuttings from all the females and keep a mother of the best yeilding/tasty plant.

If you have got the funds how about VRG's Killer Skunk.

Nirvana beans are copy cats (F2's) of other strains. Maybe not all of your plants will be keepers, but at least a coupla plants will.

I've grown out plenty of nirvana strains and you do get plenty of variety. For example I cracked some fem ppp for my present grow and gave a mate 4 seedlings of the same, same pack. He chopped his at 7 weeks, because he said he was desperate. Mine are at 10 + 1/2 weeks and still not done. Supposed to be a 8 weeker so I stopped feeding at about 6 weeks and my plants went yellow from hunger , so the rule book does go out the window with nirvana sometimes, but there will be still be plenty to smoke.

I don't think there are many seedbanks that give anywhere near the proper finishing times, although that depends what you call finished i suppose.

I'd like to give nirvana seeds a try sometime as i've only tried one of theirs (cali o) and it was realy nice. Was surprised to see how similar most of the plants were. None of them were orangey though but still very nice.
Not sure which i'd pick to try next from them though as there' just too much choice

Hi mate ive just finished Nirvana Northern Lights im not impressed with the smoke easy to grow but a bit tastless,(Its been in the jar for 3 weeks).I do like their Top44 nice fruity taste n nice buzz + clones easy.Fast finisher

Has anyone tried the papaya they've got at the mo, sounds promising?!

Finishing time can be lengthened by stress imo, i've seen 8 - 10 week plants not finished at 14 weeks due to varioius stresses (mainly heat I think). Not saying you did, but I believe it's possible.

As for Nirvana, hmm I wouldn't bother, but if it's your first grow it might be a good idea as you'll be lucky not to kill them anyway. What about KC brains seeds, half the price of nirvana, or White label, they're quite cheap too.

I think the finishing times on all seedbanks give that approximate harvest time from which a bud is suitable to smoke.

have a look in the grow diary section there are quite a few people popping nirvana seeds including me, i have ice and k2 the ice is nearing the end looking good i think. the k2 are still young but have heard they can be a big yield have a look link below dude
