Anyone tried Spotify.....its a music finder/player that is miles above the competition...
they are aiming to hold ALL the worlds music and add 10's of 1000s of new tracks every week....
give it a try....Ive yet to be skunked on a search and my taste is pretty eclectic........the real plus
is that you can hold playlists of your finds on you computer indeffinately...and drag/drop into
mail ect.
Trust me its well worth it.....specially if you can out the sound to a good
sound system.......the future..?....Peace....M....>

It is an excellent idea , but Im not quite ready to dump my ext hdd full of mp3s, when the spotify selection increases, or there comes a way to access even really obscure stuff, then I'll be happy to stick it up in the attic .
(not tried lastfm btw , is there more of a selection there??)

Yeah last FM, Spotify is still a bit lame for anything other than commercial and mainstream music.

found a way of getting spotify to run nicely without having to get an invite code ..its a doddle ..and it works well
hxxps://www.spotify.com/en/get-started/ (change xx to tt ) this url bypasses the opening page where it asks for an invite and goes straight to the create an account page ..well i created an account and downloaded the spotify software ..glad to say its working a treat ..

I've found loads of decent old tunes on there man. Usually whatever I'm looking for will come up and then lead me to other things. Shit loads of non commercial on there if you know how to look. Reggae on there kicks ass. Not really sure what mainstream music is though man. Like pop? shit like that? Fuck all that anyway. I just listen to proper tunes. Basically the best tunes of all the genres. Always finding new tunes I like in them all too. Not bad software. Just those adverts sometimes do my head in. The other day a BMW ad kept repeating and I didn't realise for a good 20 mins. Same ad on a loop
