Boiled Cabbage,mashed spud,sliced onion,fried in a very hot pan. Yum,Yum!

We've another name for cabbage & mash, it's called colecannon if you've heard of it??

Never heard of adding onions and using the mix like burgers and frying...

make sure you add a little egg and flower to the mix ...just enough to bind it .... make sure its crispy on each side to

Do you mean add some egg white to the potato mix to bind it and then after making my 'burgers' flour each side and then fry?

This is a bad topic......

Im frothing at the mouth and Im about to go out the garden yielding a machete....

no mix a beaten egg and flour in to it whole egg .... then shallow fry hot oil ......and poached egg on top (soft)

Gonna cook the potatoes and cabbage separately.... I will be back when I've that done

Right then, Ive my spuds and cabbage boiling......

My plan is to make mash from the spuds (adding butter, salt and pepper) chop up the cabbage to shreds and add diced onions....

To this mix I add a full beaten egg and a tablespoon?? of flour

Can I put in raw onions or do they need pre-cooking??

Red or white onion?

You have to decide wether you like a bit of bite from your onion?!

Yea I might just go for a red onion if Im not going to precook it....(milder taste )

Hey Ratdog my tomato plants are 2 and a half foot high and are propped up.

This is my first time growing them so dont really know much about them....

When can I expect to see some friggen tomatoes??

Well,mine have been in flower for about 2-3 weeks mate,got first tiny tom,size of a 1/4 of an acorn!. What strain you got? still early me thinks.

Dont know what strain they are but my cherry's are gardeners delight

That`s what i got too,be patient mate,stick them out in the open if their still under glass,don`t know for sure if that will help,but it sure can`t harm them. Good luck mate ,i`m off to beddy byes!!

How long were they flowering before you say a tomato?

Howdy just thought I’d pop in and see how the veg garden is coming along.

your toms plants look fine m8. Now the flowers are showing the fruits will follow shortly.
Don’t forget to trim the shoots out between the flowering branches. This will stop new green growth and put all the energy into making the tomatoes. There’s a ton of info on Google about this m8

I was going to put this lot on Topos post cause he asked me to, but I'm sure Ratdog won't mind, this is our plot, a few miles from home, very sandy soil, the wife and I attend once a week and twice a week in the summer, once a week includes the winter, when the hard work and prep gets done.

As Topo say`s BB,i you look very carfully at the flowers you will see a tiny tom developing inside/behind it,don`t worry if you can`t yet they`ll be along shortly.

I used Horse,what`s yours JOM?

Courgettes and strawberrys, can't stand Courgettes but they make rocket fuel wine,

Bit small ATM but they put the fruit on a gauranteed crop if for a novice grower.
