Cheers dude. I did see a report on this site somwhere and the purple widows were the first to flower which made me want them but ive too many strains this year without enough plots.

I have also added rudeilis indica to my crop this year as abit of a breeding project if you will. Anyway good luck matey.

Cheers weedi. The PW ticked a lot of boxes for me, can't remember the exact spec cos I got rid of the packet.
Just germed the rest of them. Got 5 out of 7.
Just had a bit of a shock. Found some waste ground near home last w/e which I was sure no-one would use, and put the dirty dozen out to harden off on Monday, just for a week or so.
There were squares of roofing felt in the brambles so I pit the sharp sand on them and put the pots on top of the sand.
Went there today and found the pots tossed aside, and the sand cleared from the felt.
Saved 10 plants, 2 had broken stems.
What were those squares of felt for?

looking good man.
if you're using a propagator, i find its best to only use when the seedlings have not yet broken through the soil.. humidity/heat encourages them
those cardboard/degradable pots are good, ive got a couple in some similar ones.
i'd seperate those two seedlings in the same pot if i were you, they tend to fight for rootspace.. the more vigorous plant will dominate

whats the finishing time like on the purple widow? i take it its one of the dutch purple strains crossed with widow?
alot of the sativa dominant plants i've grown have not finished until waayy into october, mould probs and all sorts in this climate.

The only thing I can think is that they are there as some kind of man made habitat for wildlife - I think slowworms tend to live under things, and roofing felt might be quite good for them.... just something I saw on the TV once.
But if your plants weren't killed, then if it is a person then maybe they don't care about you growing weed - just not on their biology experiments. Might be worth reccying for another spot, though I think waste ground could be a very good place to grow. Close to home is always convenient too.
God luck
Bad Penny.

I'm actually growing in some wasteland this year, of course they'll be in pots, with guano, west+ and water crystals. I think it sounds like a badger or fox at your end.
There's not much soil at my site, still mostly contaminated wastelands. Wouldn't want to smoke bud grown in arsenic or heavy metals...Will make the pilgrimage to water them if it's hot, this wasteland is very close to home.

Thanx4 your comments
not foxes, not badgers, not someone who didnt give a shit, just very frikkin lucky timing
Twas like a scene from The Bill yesterday afternoon. Youda thought they'd found a dead body there or something, according to someone who lives nearby.
Sloan, hi, those pots ive discovered are made from peat, its not sustainable and is not really a good thing 2 b using (cardboard, peat???), my mistake, amongst others...
For the community, here's what I learned from the near-bust:
Hardening-off plants
You may have your max no of plants outside, garden, windowsill, wherevever. Be very frikkin careful.
You thought a lot about your grow-sites, diggin n stuff, stealth, nutrients, but 1 week in that nice sunny spot to get em ready, did u think about it enuff? Max stealth when young and many.
Your spot gets compromised, remove everything. I left the 2 broken plants which is proof.... damn! (fluorescent jackets enter stage right)
Well, we all have our adventure stories but I'm getting a bit old for this (24 next wk!)
Snakeguy, hi, I saw a dead snake on the side of the road the other day, was black'n'white zig-zags didn't take a photo, dunno if it was a viper, just going off to google it thanx 4 reminding me.

Cheers W, the Bill thing was about something else in the end, a stolen car or something, the kids had tried to leg it across the waste ground just a few minutes after I walked home from round there with a bakers' tray full of 10 plants, hahaha

Click to view attachmentmaybe leaving home this w/e...
I have a q about the others, which I called bagseed, this was the scenario -
last year we had White Widows and Silver Shiva. A bit late pulling the males, so the crop had a few seeds in (about 3 per bud) and they are now the other plants on this blog.
is that what you'd call bagseed, or have we created a new strain? stupid question, probably!
and yes, WB, i'm actually old enuff to be your dad, but if i need to ask stupid questions on the forum it's less embarrassing if people think i'm a nipper

Cheers Yoss, i know peeps are interested in the pw, i should remind u that i'm not good at this sort of stuff, and those ones in the forest, i didn't prep the ground, just dug little holes and put in some compost over fbb, the ground there is not very good, just so any yield i get is not gonna be what you could expect in better circumstances.
Someone was comparing these blogs with the Grand National, yep, i'm one of those amateur riders who just wants to get round in one piece, 66-1 kinda rag, jumping a bit untidy but taking an outside line...
any advice welcome

Cheers guys,
Postman knocked with 500g of bat guano, put it around 6 of the 8 out there.... would that be the right kind of amount, reckon?
Also wondering whether I should've kept it away from the stems, can you burn plants by putting that on them????
Also put cat's cradle of fishing line up (10lb b.s.) after reading about some unfortunate munchings on here.
Some pre-flowers but a bit small to tell.
