hi all

just got back from my first overnight session of the year...

a few days back another thread appeared regarding scalded pellets so with that in mind i made a small bucket of paste and took it with me

during the 24 hours i had ........

25 mirror ,22 mirror ,19 mirror, 18 mirror, 16 mirror, 10 ghostie all on the scalded pellets .............

defo the best session ive had in a while thats for sure bloody cold round these parts last night thats for sure didnt get much sleep tbh pretty bushed now but it was well worth it

Nice fish , how many lb line did you use to bring those in on and how long did you have to fight them for before landing them? The reason I ask is because I am more familiar with sea fishing myself.

i used 12 lbs line and a fair bit of playing them into the net...........

now its starting to warm up a bit the pellets are starting to work.

yep havent used scalded pellets for a long time .........

glad i did though seems to have worked well as i had more fish than all the other anglers on the lake combined....

HA! HA! nice one dude. like someone said, now the wheather is warming up they'll really start to turn on to pellets won't they......as you proved pretty well it seems!!! well done pepi!

what pellets did you use mate, and in your opinion do certain size/make/type of pellets scald better than others for making paste, or does it not matter?
i'm off tonight and i'm gunna be using dynamite marine hallibut(i have various sizes to try) on the method, and i'm gunna be trying(for the 1st time) some ringers white shellfish boilies on the hook. a nice contrast between hook bait and feed i think?!

the pellets in the mix have many different sizes,types and breakdown times ... what i do is go to the pellet shop and get loads of small bags of different stuff rather than 25 kg of one type

Wicked!! good to talk to like minded others....
so i have gone and bought loads of different types etc etc and i'm off shortly to try em out. went yesterday and only had a mirror at 10lb 8oz. they were crashing all over the place, i think they've got a bit of 'sexy time'(in a borat accent) on there mind?!?!?!

maybe i'll get lucky and i'll post some pics?? here's hoping!!!
