got a cut of trainwreck from a friend , who kindly donated some , he says its the rare purple pheno trainwreck (is there one )?
This looks really purple & tastes great (will try to up load a nugget for you guys ) never tried this apart from this purply stuff .. Is the trainwreck purple anyway ?

yea cool man, i aint grown the Twreck myself, bunned some in the dam and i did like it, buti well want a piece of the purple wreck, some of the grows on here look well good.

I know that with Purple wreck there are Twreck pheno's and Urkle pheno's....the latter bein quite purple'd out

yes mate i got a very purple pheno out of trainwreck myself it was so purple it was almost black the yield was sh1t but the smoke was top drawer lovely so they may be rare but they definatly exist in fact i have pressed one of the leaves to keep very pretty

I keep see folk asking for this special purple colour in strains as if its some kind of wonder weed, when all it is is a bit of colour

They go over board on it cos breeders show lovely pics of colourful strains

Now some of these are done through lighting which has been proved on here but the main one is cold temps

Subject cannabis to low temps during their final weeks and quite a lot will go coloured so mostly to me it shows a stressed plant that wont reach its potential

There are some naturally coloured strains but i personally wouldnt bother trying to find one as they are no more potent than the run of the mill colour

i agree to a certain extent

but i think the cali purples like the urkle are totally different
maybe not more potent, but definately as potent & they have a unique taste
well my purple wreck did anyway

but the outdoor purples like the ones dutch companies sell are shit

totaly agree owd , seen it done with really cold water at the end of flowering
however this one wasnt , smells & tastes of nepalese hash or some sort of perfumed black , will try post some pics
a keeper maybe , still trying to make up my mind ..

i had GH trainwreck go magenta then the revegging leaves on the stem went very purple.
