Evening all,

I'm gonna be in my house very soon and will be starting a grow. I think I'm gonna start from cuttings from my favorite strain, El Nino!

What I was thinking though is I'm going to the V Festival in August and wanted to grow some nice weed for the experience! The El Nino is really heavy hitting and isn't really "walk about" weed, if you know what I mean!

I've been really interesting in growing out some of the SS Bubblegum and was wondering if you think this would be a good "high" to enjoy my music to this year?

Basically I'm wanting to know what weed you all recommend to enlighten this years festival experience?

Bubblegum in my experience has been far too heavy to be enjoying a stroll round a festie, tis a nice smoke to have whilst at home chilling with the tunes but not for a festie imo.

When I was looking into Bubblegum a few months back I read that "Serious Seeds worked his strain towards to Sativa side of things and T.H. Seeds went with the Indica" so was thinking that the Sativa aspect of the SS version may fit the profile for the concert/festival!

I've only smoked it a few times though and that was many years ago! The taste and smell were to die for, proper like those cheap 10p "blue" bubble gum drinks that you used to turn them over and bite the corner off, to drink from! (as apposed to little red straw) I cant remember much of the high, so if your saying it's a bit of a couch lock, then I think I'll have a look around for something thats s bit more sat dom, that tickles my fancy!

One other thing though, I've always planned on crossing this local El Nino strain (Pre 2000) and a bubblegum farther, so it could be an opportunity to kill two birds with one stone!

I had to take some dealer weed last year, thankfully it was good weed, just not the best tasting, I managed to cure if for a few weeks before hand like so that helped! So the weed done the trick but it was very heavy hitting and after smoking a full fat blunt to my self watching one of the bands and then having to walk a mile up this bank in the thick mud, I was literally fucked up by the time I got the top! Nearly collapsed, I then had to walk all the way back down as I was only going up there to get some wine to sneak into the arena for my g/f! I looked like death warmed up by the time I got back down to the bottom! So this year, I'm hoping for summit that will make me light on my feet! ;)

Normally I'd have said a bog standard sat or sat dom, but now there's a few seeds of OT1's strains... I've smoked the killer skunk, that's a go-er not tried the others, but had the pleasure of a coupla smokes grown from his seeds and they are the mutts for up & active smokes, with no trace of anxiety, perfect for festivals IMHO. The killer skunk is good, give that a go or one of the others, if there's any left. Honest, I don't do well with 'up' smokes normally, I get anxiety, but not with the OT1's I've tried. sorry to be a sycophant but the man aint a legend for nowt.

Where can u get 'OT1' seeds from like?

Lot#5 must be the best weed at any festival.

Best damned music weed I've had in years! Great at parties too, although everyone ends up queing to sit next to you for a hit. Which, if there are plenty of ladies present, is no bad thing come to think of it

Mixing music and weed has to be one of the greatest ways to pass time. The more music I listen to and the more weed I smoke, the more certain I become of this

Killer sounds like a dream smoke mate but then again it would be a bit illegal not to be sat smoking some "smile" or "oldtimes" while listening to some good tunes in the open air concert! I think you may have just forced me into a corner like!

Now I'm torn between 3 strains here like; Killer Skunk, Oldtimes or Smile!

Killer skunk with the lovely sounding taste and reported high! What does it yield like?
"Smile" sounds like a fantastic smoke and perfect high for a festival atmosphere as well! Shame it has a low yield as well and I'm no seasoned pro grower!!
But the Oldtimes has a better yield, is part of the ESB genetics and is also "up high"! The Smile sounds nicer though dunit and a smile is what you want with 1000's of people about!



I love a joint and some tunes like! Happy times man! I've throughly tested the "stoned" vrs "not stoned" at concerts and every time weed wins hands down! Drink numbs rather than enhances!

Nope.
But a Killer would do, especially the more "Blues" like pheno's that are out there.

Maybe I'll have a look at the killer and see if I can find a good blues pheno! I really like the sound of 'smile' like and 'redeyes' buds look lush!

I'm torn between the two now like! I think it's gonna have to be the smile though! How can I pass up on some OT1 genetics!?

I have all of the underground original strains and without doubt I would choose oldtimes...

I wish I could afford both mate but I'm skint and can't really afford to even buy one of them! My girlfriend would chop my arms off if she new I was spending 60 pound on some magic beans!

Fuck her though, she'll thank me in August!

One more thing is, I'm only growing in a limited space and wouldn't have the room to grow them both!

im smoking my last jar of white widow at the mo ( related to el nino i think ?) listening to tunes sounds alright & its decent bud but not a patch on jack herrer / decent sativas

but i can see your looking towards the underground strains which is probs your best choice, not that i'd know but im currently growin killers and i have some smile too, cant wait to try the killers and cant wait to plant the smile, gonna pop 2 next grow me thinks as im still a beginner and dont wanna use em all. think ill have to get some oldtimes, ha, get the lot, oh an lot5 sounds the biz ....tough choice, dont think i was much help sorry

I've tried some Jack Herrer and thought it was a nice smoke but nothing spectacular, maybe it wasn't a good pheno or poorly grown! I do think I need summit Sat Dom though, need summit to keep me active on my feet!

I've grown White Widow before and it just puts ya on ya arse!

I only have about 4 ft head room and with some heavy topping and bending dont have too much trouble with her stretching..I grow SOG and manage about 1.5 oz a plant...but whatever problems you have trying to keep her height down whilst growing will be so worth it when you get to smoke it...

I love smoking smile, it does exactly what it says on the tin, but oldtimes is in another league IMO.. It has a rich old school earthy flavour, a very clean up rushing high and a long lasting buzzy body hit.. For me it ticks all of my canna boxes,, I couldn't recommend it highly enough.
