Morning all! I finally decided to type more than a lame reply to a thread on this site and get my own diary going.

Onto the contenders - i'll add pics later

• 1 Church at 16 days in JI1
• 1 Lowryder at 40 days (however I did top it as an experiment), so it's a bit retarded..in JI1 and a bit of 3
• 1 femmed Lowryder at 10 days in JI1 and a bit of 3
• and 2 churches under a paper towel as I type..

All the sprouted ones (church + 2 LR) are under a red spectrum light in a shed growdrobe (which is surprisingly warm) when the sun isn't out..not the best for veg, I know, but better than nothing.

As I said, I'll add pics later. My dad has taken my sexy SLR and the other pics were on a hard drive that I had to return to PC world (but luckily went over it 3 times with a 35-pass Gutmann erase tool) so no recovery for any sneaky fuckers trying to..more info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gutmann_method

Right, time to check my paper towel babies. They were soaked for 24 hours and have been on a towel for just over 12..i'll be updating accrdingly

Got some church,cali orange and nycd to go out this year for the first time !!.
When u planning on putting them out ?, reason i'm asking is u got the same strain !!,you done outside before with these ?,have a look at the 5 church ladies thread look at page 3 or 4 ( i think ) and then at the end of his thread to see what church is capable of even with a bad summer !!,fucking monsters mate have a gander and tell me what u think ?.
The bloke kept them in pots so they were restricted and would of got bigger in the ground due to more root room ect !!.
U keeping them in pots or going full guerilla style in the dirt with a soil blend ?.

Yeah that's where I got the inspiration for this grow - i'll be keeping them in pots..I don't want them to be monsters so i'll probably tie them down to the side of the containers. I'm off to Uni in late September, you see, so i'll probably get a mate to look after them in the final few weeks. I just want enough bud to see me through for as long as possible - so i'll let them get reasonably big.

Just went to check on the one church now - it's got really droopy leaves and is growing incredibly slowly. Fingers crossed it improves. The "test" lowryder is suspected to be female and I was testing some mini-LST on it..it smells awesome whenever I touch it. Reminds me of my grow last year. Ahh, memories.

Just put them outside in the windy sunny weather..strengthen them up while i'm watching Only Fools and Horses day on G.O.L.D

Picture time! Before I go on, I forgot to add - the light is a 200w envirolite..

First off, the most developed. The suspected female lowryder.
This was her on the 22nd of March. I FIMmed her and it really fucked up the growth. So she looks like a mutant cabbage..

Now her today, tied as she is something of an experiment...smells lovely..takes me back to last year

The other feminised lowryder today turning a bit purple as it's a bit nippy at night..

Aaaaand the Church.
The first pic was the 22nd of March, the 2nd pic was the 28th (today)..not much growth, but the leaves are a bit funny..might put some viagra in the soil.. i've only fed a very weak nitrogen feed, as it was starting to yellow

I also like the fact "Dirty little secret" just came on my PC..very good weed growing song


And finally, the other 2 Church seeds. One has popped, one is still on it's way. I will probably put the popped one in soil tonight..

Nah mate. Is odd - I think it's cos I left the church outdoors in the shed with the others last night (was out and got home at 1am..too tired to go out again..whoops) there are no signs of being root-bound (it's in a small pot, I kniow) and the roots I can see are a very healthy shade of white, so no signs of overwatering..so I put it down to temperature abuse

The lowryder, as I said, was an experiment, so please, no abuse for that it was a "i'm too bloody keen and want to start a grow in February and test out topping methods before the real thing" grow..and the other one which just popped up is now in my room with the others, by the radiator. Got a whiff of lowryder..this growing business is rather theraputic, ya know

The popped church is in soil. Now i've started a diary, I will be looking after them proper. I'd like a good yield, after all. Hopefully the warmth will perk them up tonight. Sun forecast for tomorrow where I am, so they will be going out in that to bask.

PS. Anyone else noticed that Elton John's "Rocket Man" is something of a stoner song?

Yeah I was proper paranoid. I had a bit of trouble with the fuzz back in January with the herb, but as i'm a medicinal grower they took a softy-softy approach. Was counting my lucky stars that night, I tell ya. My parents are cool with it though. Just as long as this is the last time growing

speaking of stars, look at the sky, just went for a spliff and a star caught my attention and then i see like stars everywhere. i stood with my head up puzzled for about 2 mins literally. and i was chanting ''what the fuck'' out loud. it was amazing. i felt like i was in star ship enterprise on warp mode and i could see all the stars around me,

not often i look up at night its usually cloudy or too bright to see many stars, but this is amazing, go look if its clear around your ends. theres so many more visible stars than i thought




oh and good luck, im sure your churches will reward you, just be good to them

good luck with everything, ull need it when they're flowering, i was lucky enough to be able to bring mine in my living room when the weather for shit for a couple of days.

start thinking of ways u might be able to cover them from rain, cause its a shame to see all your hard work go to waste when you either end up with moldy grade or underdeveloped non tasty hardly potent weed thats been cut only to avoid worse weather. just some food for thought,
althought they might be ok if we have a nice enough summer. so really its up to nature ! good luck

i thoroughly enjoyed smoking my churches. and i wish i could grow again. it was definitely a special year in my life, so enjoy !

How often did you water them? Was there a schedule or did you just do it when the soil felt dry?

The sprouted Church is looking a lot better after being indoors for the night.
The Mutant cabage lowryder IS female (just had a feed of BioBloom, seaweed and some molasses) and I am waiting for one church to appear from the soil and another to even crack.

as for watering, i judged by putting my finger in the soil and if its still moist i leave it if its dry i water it.
although i also look at the plant whether its drooping or not.

i also watered them on very hot days as well, to make sure they didn't dry.

when flowering try and avoid watering them in the evening, try and keep all watering to early day time.

and the obvious one, never get the plant wet during the day when theres sunlight cause it will burn it.

also when the plant is budding dont get it wet with the hose !

The church is a quite forgiving plant mate after all i've grown it for 2 crops so far and Both times its been a real supriser in strenth and yeild but this was inside (check my diaries as there in there somewhere !!).
TRY TO HARDY THEM UP IN THE LOFT BEFORE THEY GO OUT AS ITS A BIT WARMER THAN STRAIT OUTSIDE fucking caps lock !!, can't be arsed to re-type again so not shouting at u !!
If u go into wilko they do a range of soil improvers and bloom boosters that are slow release (jab i think !!),cheaper than grow shops of course !!.

Right, as i'm quite concerned about their lack of growth, my "growmate" has lent me a blue spectrum light. So for those days where the sun just aint shining, i'll plonk them under that.

30th March update

Had them outdside today. Bit of an overcast day. Was in a really down mood..withdrawal symptoms from my painkillers..Trainspotting day, methinks

Trained Lowryder is definately a girl. Looks very odd but is promising.
Other Lowryder is getting there - slowly but surely.
I potted up the church. It was perking up and There was a bit of "rootage" on the bottom of the pot. It's now in a 1l black square pot. I'll post pics when they are all done draining as it's a mess out there.

Another church has popped her head up, and 2 more are germinating

Don't you love it when your neighbours hold your deliveries for you? I now have my 125w veg light, and will be putting the babies under that. I'm quite disappointed with the growth rate on the windowsill, so it will be an Easter holiday veg season in my wardrobe.

Another Churhc has popped up, so now I have 2. One I think has died in the soil and so another one has taken its place.

I will post pics when the plants look better, as they are just an embarrasment right now droopy leaves and little growth.

If i can get anything like them bad boys ill be happy! I ordered a pack of 5 fem churches earlier.

Had a good ol' chat with an 80 year old woman (who was very sprightly for her age) as her grandson is a Government advisor for drug policy.

Now it was a long winded conversation and as soon as she mentioned the word cannabis, my heart slowed right down and I seeped in sweat. Was this woman the reason cannabis was now class B?

Well I started to compare the herb to say, alcohol, as we were at a dinner table - and she said something like "well my Italian friend gave his children very dilute wine when they were younger and now they don't drink at all..but in this country, if you have a rigid policy of disallowing those who are deemed underage what they want, they will find it and have it some other way, resulting in more harm.."

"So you are saying that prohibition doesn't work?"

Everyone, my mum..sister..nan..and her friend (this 80 year old..as they both worked in the legal sector) were silenced. I threw facts at them, figures, studies and names of medical journals/historical documents..and finally, I beat this woman at her own game.

She was a lovely person, and I hope I have made a bit of difference in her life, to influence her grandson and whatnot..

Oh, and she agrees that weed is a political tool.

Time for bed. I've had 2 hours of sleep in 24 hours.

Have been feeding the lowryders a mix of bloom, tomorite, seaweed and molasses.
The church got a 4ml/l feed of tomorite and seaweed

I also got CS gas in my face earlier as I got it from Germany and was fucking about with it.

Ahh! I woke up this morning to sun..and a failed hard drive. So hopefully tomorrow I will be back, as I need a new one, clean install etc..and I have also lost all of my holiday photos from my trip round Europe..and that was on the external one that also died. Even backups go, eh?

As for the plants, I repotted the vegging Lowryder into a bigger pot (bit wobbly, she be. I think it's an 8L one. I read somewhere that Marcos reccomended a smaller pot to keep the buds compact, but it was either tiny pot or big pot. I chose the bigger) but she will strengthen up in time. My flowering one is under a red 200w as we speak and the churches are in the sun. I have put another church under paper towels as I was pretty pissed off that 2 didn't crack. Fingers crossed for the last of them.

Overall, a bit of a shite day. But at least the sun's out.

Time to crack on with my other law essay. I just love sitting in class debating drug laws and smirking, knowing that I have a grow-op on the go.. i'm the biggest left-winger in the class by far. One of the girl's dads is a drugs cop and everyone else is a posh bastard who's mummy and daddy want them to be a lawyer, and i'm a scruffy bastard who smells of weed and has no pupils and only took the subject for the irony factor.

Only one being fed at the moment is the flowering lowryder (bloom + mollasses with a tiny bit of tomorite). All the others are still running on the soil or excess nutes that I gave them (namely the retarded church)..so I think that overfeeding when young certainly has a detrimental effect on them..

So yeeah. The plants (except the flowering lowryder) are all outside in my old snake tank (, coldframe!) and the flowering one is under a 200w envirolight (red, of course)..also planted my potatoes today. Yarr, i'm getting the hang of this gardeing lark..

The vegetating Lowryder and the most developed church are now outside in a PVC greenhouse. I repotted the church into it's final container as it was well rootbound. The container is this:

Also got a load of my vegetables planted. Garden is looking a treat The flowering lowryder and other girls (2 churches and 1 LR) are still under the light.

Oh, and I have attempted to supercrop the vegging lowryder. Looks odd but thought i'd give it a go as I saw some AMAZING grow diaries with auto plants and thought i'd take the chance.
If anyone else has any yield maximizing tips, let me know!

ok so I put the plants at the back of the shed and my dad kept an eye on them..the vegging lowryder fell over and I think I ripped some of it's roots other than that. All fine. They were doing door-to-door enquiries..

The grown church and vegging lowryder are all outside now and will be for a while..

The seedlings were fed with a very weak mix (3ml) of tomorite and seaweed with 1 drop of baby bio (added N, but not loads..don't roast me!) in a litre of water.

The Lowryders

The eldest flowering one..smells lov-er-ly! A couple of brown spots on the leaves, but nothing to worry about. Lacking in Nitrogen, so I fed it a mix of tomorite (5ml), bio bloom (5ml) and molasses (1 teaspoon) today..

The 2nd eldest, in it's final pot. I attempted to supercrop it (as I saw an epic thread on here with a guy who supercropped his "to death" and got just the most amazing results. It's recovering after that and a bit of root ball damage after the cops patrolled (dropped it behind shed in a minute of the most paranoid panic i've ever experienced)..shiiit..
