Just wondering how many average sized plants I could expect to grow in either a 6' X 4' or 6' X 6' greenhouse allowing each plant to have enough space? Thanks for any comments

i know when growing outdoors they recon a metre apart i think if growing under glass and something not to bushy like big bud maybe 2 to a growbag this would be giving each plant 20 litres of root space if grown in a 40 litre bag but i am no expert.ferret

My glasshouse is a about 6x6 too and last year i grew 5 Master Kush and 6 DP's (later to be known to me as Swazi. They were seeds taken from South Africa ).

I didn't space the Swazi's out too well but i got a nice decent amount. It was very crowded i must admit but it's a safe location so i was happy


For DECENT sized plants and spacing i wreckon you could do 5-6 maybe even upto 8!!

In my experience, two maximum if they're going to be big girls. I had a single monster two years ago that filled my 6x6x6 greenhouse no bother at all, and that was with many, many branches tied down. Your ventilation should also help determine how crowded you can make it without increasing the risk of mould. In addition to that, remember the more crowded it is, the more you have plants blocking off each others light.

From what I've been reading on here you might want to also consider how long the plants will grow for. If you sow them early and/or they're late finishers they are going to end up bigger! Early or auto strains would stay smaller.

I would start them now and go for 3, so fems or clones is your best option. 3 should allow adequate spacing and air flow.

I have a 20x10 and have decided to grow 5 leaving space for veg etc.

It may also be a good idea to install some power inside for a fan just to keep the air flowing as much as possible.

Have you decided on any strains yet?

Thanks for the replies everyone, I've got 3 x Jack 47 by Sweet seeds, 3 x White widow by Pyramid seeds, 2 x Power Skunk by Flying Dutchmen, 1 x Lemon skunk by Greenhouse and 1 x LSD from Barneys. All feminised. I'm not going to be able to do them all in there but hopefully will do about 6. Won't be able to get them going until about May though so hopefully they will be o.k.!!!

Go with 6 for now and if it gets crowded, keep the best and dump the rest. If you know what I mean...
