back to mario, wasn't every single main mario title an absolute event...including the N64 one which was groundbreaking in its own right, i even rate it and Galaxy up there with Super and Bros.
Mario 64 was unbelievable . I remember hiring a n64 from london rd in brighton with student card as id . The game was so good we never gave it back !!!!

I love the wii mario cart, but then i've liked all the versions. Bastard rainbow road track!
Whilst we're nattering about old school games, how many of you lost hours from your lives playing tetris? And all you win is a shuttle taking off! When i have to pack band equipment into cars and vans, i always seem to make it fit, whereas band mates cant. I put this down to hours of tetris abuse as a child, teen, young adult...
Oh yeah. Lemmings... Now that was a game...
Class , i remember coming home from dos on Sunday afternoons and just looking at building and treetops , working out which blocks will fit . Dunno if that was tetris addiction , or the aftereffects of the night before

Definately .. original nintendo had its Zelda and Link too which were incredible journey's. As long as we're on about the Nes how about Spy Hunter? Did any of you play Mega Man or any of the series? (great game) Snes.. absolutely classic games .. Final Fantasy 2 & 3 ... Secret of Mana, Populous, Mario Kart... classic... yes absolutely. Zelda.. amazing. The classic games are so good. My wife is addicted to Mrs. Pacman.
As with movies and fine wines, sometimes the older one's are really better.

e2a - anyone ever play Blaster Master for Nes? Castlevania?
Bubble Bobble?

Bubble bobble and bomberman up there with mario and the karts imo

mario kart on the snes

B) B)
that game never turned off the tv when i lived with a couple of my mates ..a hole year of winner stays on every night till it got light sometimes...
some nights there would be 4/5 bods all wanting to win shouting screaming at each other
i can still here the banter now when you had to hand over the controller or managed to stay on all night
happy days B)
Its weird isnt it how iconic these games are , but nowadays , MANY folks just disregard nintendo gaames as 'kids stuff'
peace out
mario fans
