Anyone used the Dutch masters Hot coco?
Here's the description from the website:
Dutch Master Hot Coco nutrients have been formulated & Ionically balanced for use with coir based systems.
Coconut coir, although an excellent hydroponic medium, has it’s own unique set of properties which need to be catered for if you are to extract the maximum benefit from this media.
Coir has a very strong cation exchange ability; what this means is the medium can hold and release nutrients or elements depending on (a) the plants needs, and (

the prevailing conditions in the medium itself. This cation exchange is not detrimental to plant growth, in fact in most instances it works to the plants benefit.
Coir does tend to hold calcium a little more than the other elements as well as releasing extra potassium. This can upset the delicate ionic balance which is needed to maintain optimal nutrient availability. Dutch Master Hot Coco has had its ionic balance altered with added chelated calcium, to ensure the ease of release of this element back into the mediums nutrient pool, as well as a little less potassium in it’s formulation to take into account the extra potassium given off by this medium. By doing this, the coir actually completes the ion balancing ensuring maximum uptake of nutrients by your plants.
