I got the very same problem mate. Just ordered some 4inch Acoustic Ducting to fit a 4inch Rhino Filter and i just cant get the ducting to stretch OVER the filter so i can attach a clip. Every time I try I just f*ck up the acoustic foam or tear hole in the ducting itself - tried for hours!!There are some things you can buy to help that are like jubilee clips but fatter - but i fear i'll have the same problem so i aint splashing the cash just yet.

Found a temporary fix with some plastic tumble dryer ducting hose - its a little stretchier than the metal stuff. So I'm gonna use small bits of that fixed with jubilees to fix the pieces together.

Hope that all makes sence! Will let you know if it works!

hi mate u must have two large ends. u need a female collar to go inbetween. if u can cut a bit off the ducting about 100mm. then snip it down the middle. and put it inside the duct about 50mm and the other 50mm can connect to the other side. havnt explained it to well but hope this helps.

I havent got that luxury mine isnt acoustic, its tight as fook I think im gonna try i little lube soap and see if it makes a difference then if that dont work Im gonna freeze the fitting and warm the ducting and try that if all else fails

A lube is good! As i do with tent zips etc, i spay a silicone spray!? Mr Sheen "makes umpteen things clean" is also a great lube, spray the plastic area you are attempting to mount ducting too and rub it into the surface, work the ducting on in a corkscrew style ie: don't try getting it all on at once, its a fiddly bugger but stick with it, dont be scared to be quite firm with, when its 3/4 i use a blunt block and use it to nudge the wire inside ducting onto fan.
