Not surprising when you've been watering them with cochineal water for the last 2 weeks harhar.gif

cochineal water

Interesting. Is there a thread which explains that? How do you apply that?

I noticed that strain a while ago. Never really saw any grows of it anywhere though. Looks very nice too. Some nice strains your growing mate. smile.gif

Sorry Blayz'd I was taking the mickey out of felix, suggesting his interesting colouration may have been faked. No idea if it could work but my friends mum always colours her cut flowers like that to make them look funkier biggrin.gif

Cochineal doh.gif I spent hours mixing the paints and then airbrushing each individual pistil just the right shade of pink, trust you to come up with a lazier way of doing it lol.gif

No worries man. Wasted I am. The dye is made from insects, I was thinking Felix was adding those insects to his compost or feed lol.gif , didn't even think about the dye aspect. Got excited rofl.gif

High all,

Im glad to see your panama lady felix, classic pinkish reddish panama pistil is more evident when grown her outdoors. Here's for example a pinkish outdoor panama, close to mid flowering. Temp variations are recommended indoors to show stronger colors.

Well, thank you for breeding such a beautiful plant yes.gif

Hey Felix & Dubi,

Thanks man thumbsup.gif

After reading what Dubi had to say about growing them outdoors I gave them a belt of UV (around 350uW/cm2) for 12 hours and it seems to have brought out the colour on more pistils yes.gif

Will give them some more and see what effect that has.

10,000K eek.gif do the walls of your grow room still glow when you turn the lights off man lol.gif that must almost be in the UV range already. I might have to get me one of them lamps, nice one man thumbsup.gif

Your's certainly looks a treat yes.gif , when you say one of your personal favourite smokes, was that in a past tense or present ? wink1.gif

Lovely pics, felix and PW. Love the look of those. What's happening in the plant when you hit it with UV to bring out the colour? Sorry if that's a rough question. Just got my curiosity up.

Great pics. smile.gif

Thanks Blayz'd,

Interesting question and one perhaps best answered by Pinball himself, he's grown these longer than me and I haven't got a clue lol.gif over to you my learned collegue biggrin.gif

Dubi should know yes.gif
Pinball Wizard
cheers comrade! one of my all-time favourites to put it better. the taste is subtle sweet spice and the hit is narcotic with a souring high (at least the one i grew was anyway). if yours is anything like the one i had i think you'll want to keep it yes.gif
sorry Blayz'd, not sure if the UV or that end of the spectrum has that much to do with it. i think the pink in the pistils is more a genetic characteristic than environmental. perhaps it's best expressed with light that is more blue biased tho, if that makes sense.
i'm an MH-only kind of guy anyway (as you can probably tell from looking at any of my previous grows), and the bluer the better IMO.

Well done with the pink pistils felix don't they look beautiful, Panama is my favourite plant of all time the first time I seen the pink pistils I fell in love they look so nice, I have noticed mine seem to do it more with cold temps i.e in the wintertime but that could be coincidence!

The stione from the Panama is the strongest I have ever grown and it has to be said the yield is unbelievable The colas are like columns, I absolutely love it to pieces, well done ACE

Top piccie Mr PW stacks of pinkies in there, they take some missing don't they pinch.gif

Good day felix,

Yes, UV lamp and temp variations would help to bring colors in your indoor panamas. Sounds like they are in good hands smile.gif

Thanks also for your warm words Electric Man,

Panama is one of our strongest (cosistently) catalogue strains, probably the stronger. Growers usually love her reddish/pinkish colors!
