Hi I found this fan on hydro grow shop for £24.99 I was wondering if anyone had used this fan and how it compares to the more popular fans such as RVK, which for the same size are twice the price? If anyone has bought one I would like to hear your oppinion, and specifically how it performs pulling through a 100mm carbon filter.

The answer as to how it will perform with a CF is simply that it will not, because the power developed is unlikely to be anywhere near enough to get a puff through a CF. You will be lucky to get 30 m3/hr after a filter. You need to buy a Ruck if you're staying at 100 dia, even the RVK is inadequate, at that diameter.

Hm that's disapointing. Even if I bought two 100ml fans from this range it would still be cheaper than buying one of the equivelant RVK fans, would it be a good dea to do this instead? Would having one of these fans at either end of a carbon filter give decent extraction, and would this outperform a single fan from the more expensive manufacturers?

Ok thanks for making it clear for me. I will spend the extra few bob and get a Ruck TPL100 and Carbon filter package, the prices on ebay shops seem reasonable I suppose. The TP100 comes packaged with ducting and a carbon filter so I can only assume it has the power to pull through it, and will sufficiently ventilate my small grow.

Thanks for the help.
