All i want basically is some tips on extracting hot air?.I ONLY have a micro set up.Its in a home made bud box running a 250 watt Son T.I am just getting away with a fan at the moment and have produced some nice bud .Well i seem to think so and the problem is im going to make it a little bigger?.It is 5ft high and 2ft wide at the moment but only 1ft deep.At the moment i have got ONLY 1 AK flushing and maxing out and some CRIMEA BLUE seedlings in some peat pucks/pots.I have bought a bathroom extractor and have placed it below the reflector where there is a heat pocket and it does not seem to make a difference.It works fine i can feel the air passing through?.Just does not get temps down.I know extraction does not stop hot air but it helps?.I have my fan at the bottom and the extractor at the top where there is a heat pocket.I am definitely doing something wrong mate i have looked and looked and no joy?.I also have a PC fan but if the bathroom fan does not do the job how will the PC fan do the job?.Ok hope someone can help?.

the solution to your problem is simple? me thinks!
All you are currently doing is recirculating the same air thats why you have a temp problem, you need to have a constant introduction of fresh co2 air and you can achieve this by passive vents with a 100mm fan pulling through a 100mm CF into another room seperate to the room you are introducing the fresh air from!

Not possible to go into another room mate im growing in my bedroom.When i open my window mate it gives me tons of lovelly fresh air i leave my windows open all the time.Bugs im well aware of! and have not had any probs as yet.Had a problem with them little shit flies or fruit flies but they dont harm ya crop hardley?.But still dont like em?.A cool tube will be fine but dont you have to attatch a inline fan to the reflector.Stelth is an issue?. Have just used a fan so far??.

If you want a semi decent grow with semi decent results you will have to extract the hot humid 'used' air out and replace it with fresh air.
Failure to do this can, and most probably will result in alot of problems. The only other way to do it is to run a closed system with co2 enrichment, alot better of with a decent extractor fan IMHO.
You can't cut corners when trying to grow decent bud.

Yes i hear what you are saying and you are rite, but i am growing no more than 4-5plants.My grow space is 2squre feet wide and 5ft high? by opening my window i does the job for now.The only thing is its comming up to summer soon and thats when i am going to have problems???I have constant fresh air its just a problem when i close my window.Im very inexperienced but have some knowledge on growing the PLANT .Atm i only have 3seedlings and 1 Afghan Kush ready for the chop in the next couple of days.I am looking to change my set up as its to small still as i fell i can still get more off this 250, than what i have atm!. I can use the frame of this tent and extendit and make it more light proof.Dont worry when the lights come off the cover goes over the top.It started off as an experiment but now im upgrading and will need all the help and advice i can get.Thats if you dont mind hereis an idea of what i have got!.

that kush looks pretty fine considering your environment! Is smell not a problem for you? Has anyone mentioned strange smells to you? In all honesty i would your priority for any grow should include a carbon filter and inline fan, but, i guess the open window is ok as you have a nice kush ready for chop! All i reckon you need is 100mm in line 100mm CF and 100mm Ducting approx £50? I reckon a significant improvement would be to at least extracting out your window but you will need to disguise the ducting with a blanket or cardboard box!? Anyways fella it seems to be working for you judging by the kush! but! as you already know, your quality and quantity will probably at least double! if you improve your extraction!? And sort a carbon filter out soon as!!

Thanks Hardcore and Ben, my AK only pongs a little now cos she is ready for the chop.Smell i dont think will ever be an issue for me as im never going to go over 4-5plants.Ok ive only got the AK atm that niffs a tiny bit(stinks if you tuch it though).People in the house dont mind we can work round the smell honistly as there is not much there anyhow.Im getting all the fresh air i need by doing what i have mentioned.I even have an anti pollen net that can be put over my window frame for the bugs in summer??.Its my design i have to change i can use the frame from what i have now and customise it with the new one i have got. Also ive got 5meters of withe lining which is more than enough!.Its just when my temps reach 30, 0c when ive got everything open all doors and windows and its still 30, 0c and you cant do anything except ivest in air conditioning??????.They are only a couple of hundred and well worthit?.Forget intake and outake if you have air con??.Ive watched vidoes on Urben Grower with people in the states are using them with wicked results alot more easier if you have no air supply.Also the water that runs through the cooler is nice to feed ure plants.When i get my cellar in my next new home im thinking of investing in one??? Just probably will use the same power as a HPS I WOULD IMAGINE??. Can i say where do you buy these inline fans from?.I have been to homebase, Wickes and these places do not sell these ruk , or inline fans and when you ask people in the store its??????????????.Oh ive got a maggott farm bullshit bollocks thing .Sorry guys i dont have a grow shop in my city and i dont have a car neither??.So will have to make do with the Bathroom fan that i bought from homebase and i have got a PC fan also??.Im only running 250 watts guys and a 70 watt sodium floodlight??.for extra light thats how i got such a nice AK o?. Ive just harvested and i think if you stick to Indicas then ya smell is not too bad??.I dunno only grown PPP AND AFGHAN kUSH, they hardley smell in the atmosphere??.If however i was to have more then YES smell would be a problem. But hey they are cool its just when we have guests and all????.Its a small house anyway and the grow is in my bedroom.I have mentioned that a couple of pc fans and a bathroom extractor which i have is enough for a 250??.Will keep on it till someone does??.But thanks
