Hiya

Like the title says spliff.gif I'm wondering about alternatives to Fishmix that you can buy in a regular garden centre. Can't find them on a quick google - lots of info how to make Fish Emulsion Fertilisers, but I'd rather buy it in a handy little bottle, preferably without having to go to a grow shop

I get that availability of Fish waste is limited by regional and seasonal factors, but there must be a commercial alternative to Biobizz Fishmix. If even half what I read about the horticultural benefits of fish emulsion is true then I need to get some

Cheers spliff.gif

How about Fish Meal ? Probably slower releasing than Fish Mix but other than that I should imagine it is somewhat similar, is it possible the meal may contain some oils not present in Fish mix ? I've found several fish emulsion products on Bonsai website, I guess Bonsai trees are in a similar position to our bonsai mothers with regard to reduced root space.

I've had some good results with dried blood but boy does it smell bad bad.gif and it is really just a nitrogen fertiliser (NPK 12-0-0).

been using it since September and i use it in veg and flower, small amounts in veg but the plants seem to like it, i use it about once every 2 weeks or so, nice green leaves right up to harvest.
Haven't used it on it's own though in flower.

A pure organic product produced from fish waste having an analysis of 5-2-2. This product is very popular outside Europe being a true organic liquid feed with a good nutrient balance, suited to all plants. Has a strong following with bonsai, cactus and pot plant exhibitors.
