right....ive used the search bar but i couldnt find what i was after specifically...
thinking of getting a 1.2 x 1.2 x 2m tent.....
and putting a 600w hps in there.... this i believe is around about the correct size tent for wattage.
now i could go for a dual spectrum? a sodium bulb? or a mh bulb....
would it pay off to have seperate bulbs for veg and flowering?
the next thing is....can i use the 600 watts straight away? and if not what would you suggest to use at first?
also...ive seen mothers/clones being kept under some 55watt fluro lights.... would these lights be usable for vegging? if not, maybe they would be useful for the seedlings to begin with?
there may be some more issues im thinking of but ill get back to you on those!
sorry if these are really stupid questions, trying to get back into the swing of things and refresh my memory!

yes , you can use tubes or CFLs all way through vegging , i use a 250w blue spectrum CFL to veg.

i also use a 250w blue cfl for veg then put the 600w hps in for last week of veg then flower. works a treat for me

For the first grow, it's a question of which corners to cut. Obviously you'll be adding to your grow as you can afford to but what to start with?
As example, the SunMaster 600w mh is a fine vegging bulb. Are there better things to spend £40 on 1st grow? Oh yes, getting a smaller fan and filter in order to buy more bulbs is a big mistake. Is it worth getting when the rest of the setup has been dialed in? Why not if you can afford it, it's a great bulb.
I've started seeds under a 600w Grolux then vegged and flowered with the same bulb so it does work. As long as there is other equipment your grow needs, a Grolux is good enough for now.

if you dont mind me asking, what kind of a yield did you get during that grow? did you have a grow diary for that?
don't worry, airflow is not something i will be cutting back on.

Hi i have a grow room 1.5m by 0.8m i use a 600w dual spectrum start to finish 4 plants in there 25 ounce dried out
veged and flowered all the way with grolux 600w, no probs,
remember that not all ballasts can run both bulbs although there is a mh bulb on the market that will run on hps ballast
id go with the 600 grolux saves f in about a bit then again i like f n about.
