As Rastajedi says, autoflowering plants start to flower automatically! You cant take cutting from them. This sort of reminds me of the "what seeds are in the pack with Motivation writen on?" thread.

I could be wrong? unsure.gif , but I think bobhope mean's that the Chronic is regular chronic not an auto variety and is autoflowering! unsure.gif

sorry you missunderstood me, chronic is not an auto variety.
I,m wondering if there's been a cock up somewhere in the breeding.
bobhope
yes exactly, just saw the post above, and I wasn't aware of auto chronic
bobhope
a bit more info to clarify
the plants are chronic from serious seeds, not an autoflower
the mothers are on 24 hr light under flouros
cuttings have rooted under 24 hrs of cfls
there is no light leakage from flower to mother clone room
there are no timers to go wrong
so anyone with any previous experience that would like to offer advice, and not just take the piss, i would appreciate it
specifically with knowledge of the breeding history, and the likelyhood of this happening with the two best plants (female)
I selected as mothers.
the first batch of clones were perfectly ok, this has occurred later into the life of the mothers, cheers

Hiya Bob,

Auto flowering plants are in flowering mode as soon as they poke through the compost, There is no vegging stage with auto's, that is why they are called auto flowering, you don't flower auto's with 12/12, optimal I found was 20/4 for lr2, they will start to flower though even on 24/7.

Peace,
GG

Sorry Bob i genuinely thought you'd bought some lowryder cross, I've used serious seeds before and tbh I've never come across this, strange since your working from clone with previous successful crops from the same mother ?, usually found their strains to be very stable and reliable, sorry fella wish i could help but i have no knowledge or experience of this

More light mate or put it closer to the plants, been struggling with the same issue, lucky arcata trainwreck can be revegged.
Wanted just enough CFL's so they'd stay in veg mode and save power.
Rid the CFL's and put a 80Watt MH lamp in there does the trick also.
And I'm still convinced shiny aluminium refections or silver will reflect better then white walls. Try to get thoose undercooling thin gold/silver colored plastic sheets from the hospital. They reflect perfectly.

DoubleDee
been growing ss chronic for 4 years.infact ive just harvested 2 tonight
and no not ever has 1 autoflowered
never even a nana

Never had a chronic auto flower.Did durga mata a couple of times, also indica dominant, and that was a bitch for it.I vegged it for weeks, took out a nice girl to keep back for a mum and she just kept flowering under a 200w enviro on 24hr light.Binned it after 2 months as it just wouldn't stop.Another grower reported the same thing with it too.Maybe some indica just can't stop once they get going?
Good luck.

cheers for the advice everyone it's all a bit weird, never had anything like this before
I'm going to just see what happens with the little ones.
hopefully they'll just finish quickly and single cola and I can go back to varieties I know and trust.
I must admit Ithought there was something wrong when I grew the 10 seeds in the pack, There was a wild
discrepancy in all there forms, showing a less than stable genetics.
And then the two types I chose to flower had radically different flower formations.
Well you live and learn don't you.

I think you need to read again GG, he never asked about autoflowering plants doh.gif

Bob is there just quite a few pre flowers or are there proper flowers growing?

I have a plant that in veg puts loads of pistils out but never goes into flower

I bet 'the joint doctor' would pay you a fortune for those Bob whistling.gif
bobhope
the mothers have small flowers, but thats to be expected under 120 wats of flouro in 0.6m2
the clones, under slightly less light with cfl's are producing fully formed flowers
they're now under 600w hps and budding nicely, if not how i expected.

Hiya owd,

My original exodus cheese has pre flowers when I take the cuttings and keep growing more pre flowers until I go 12/12, but they never fully flower on a vegative light cycle.

flowers.gif , I thought ha said he had started off with normal growing plants and now they had turned auto on him and were flowering on 24/7 light schedule, must have read it wrong, bangin.gif
