Viewing some of the other efforts on here this seems a little weak but hey, it's my space. 4th pic shows almost finished space with the added benefit of a passive intake, which becomes active if the downstairs bog light is switched on. 3rd pic is the Ruck loosley assembled to gauge how noisy it was. It wasn't :-) It's gonna end up further down the room with acoustic ducting to improve air circulation. Should be finished soon but gotta wait 'cos I've got a big weekend coming shortly & can't afford to leave youngsters unattended,
Cheers,
Joe.

Rixy,
Strains? Haven't a clue. This is where you lot come in. Only smoked solids. Used to nip over to Amsterdam 3/4 times a year but with the £ going tits up against the euro it's getting pricey. Got a mate down London who's advising me step by step. He's been growing for years. Said I'd never smoke home grown after spending £100 on a bag up here that was total shite. Tasted foul, nutrients & fertiliser & reading what they're doing to it with glass & silicone & stuff it's best avoided like the plague,
Cheers,
Joe.

Nearly there on my hermetically sealed den of iniquity. Sort of first fixed the leccy today. Gonna break into the ring main after I've painted the walls white & tidied off a few bits & pieces. Was gonna put some white lino on the floor. Don't s'pose you can have too much whiteness can you? Locate the extractor & filter to the other end to promote airflow, install lighting & then ........... nuthin 'til I've had my weekend down the Smoke. Then expect some seriously stupid questions, to you, from me :-)
Cheers Folks,
Joe.

Not much more to do. Browns. as you can see it is totally sealed off from the rest of the loft & massively insulated. As well as retaining heat should cut down any noise. HS. Lights? Was thinking of a 250w enviro for vegging & 400w HPS for flowering. Don't need to grow much, just for myself but I do want quality.
Painted the walls with white primer this morning. Got paint everywhere with it sloping down towards me. Luckily I had the foresight to take all my clothes off first. For the sake of your mental health I suggest you wipe that image from your mind immediately :-)
Cheers,

What height you got in that space mate?
Wanted to go up the loft myself, but after looking at the height and taking about a foot into consideration for my lamp I didn't think I'd have bugger all height to grow really.
Sod it, you've inspired me, off up tut attic tomorrow to measure up, got water pipes and electric circuitry up there so could be a goer

Cheers.

'Bout 6 foot. I can stand up easy, Think I'm about 5'8". Took shedloads of MDF tho'

Cheers Joe.
I've got about 5'7 i'd say. Couldn't wait

so got out me ladder. I'm 6'1 and can't stand up

Still, with lights hung etc should give 3 to 3 1/2 half foot of usable space

(E2A: taking a 10" pot height into account). Thing is my lamp is a 600W... Hmmm... I'll have to think about this and post some queries. Anyone who reads this who's done similar, any advice would be greatly appreciated. Also my attic get real fucking hot and would be out of use for mid-summer for sure, but it's all i've got ATM. Bit of a shitter!
The tape comes out tomorrow

All the very best with your grow my friend

Cool.
I'm a Professional Rigger who climbs up to 35 meters (so far) and while on 3 inch steel I-beams pulls up chain motor points and such for live events. So I naturally get concerned about such things.
Even though you may have lock washers and such, I would still keep an eye on it.

If I could I would put a safety line on it so that if for some 1 in 1,000,000,000,000 chance all of your fastenings did work free, it would still have a line on it to keep it from crashing.
Safety first my friend!

very nice build mate, but like the rand says carefull with the cf. if it was mine i would have the cf at the highest backest place i could fit it.
also i would fit 6-8 floresent tubes for the lower branches.
also your intakes i would use 2 100mm/4" eg 2 inlets at the front opersit sides as low as pos. powered by 2 bathrooom fans so you can go pasive or forced.
just my stoned 1/8 of as penny
