Smart job mate, ready to go now it seems. The apex shape of your grow room is very pleasing to the eye! Its going to be real good when your girls are settled in.
Keep up the good work

Mate - followed your trail to this thread and I like it. Room looks great. I tell you what you could do - put in that temp shield/reflector in no problem and you would be flying. Great room, great job.
Stay safe and limit your grow to a few plants, just so if any follow-up from your mates bust you will be a totally convincing saying you only use personally - which I am sure you do.

I notice you hang yout light across the room, why not hang it length ways? that way your light spread will follow the line of the room in an apex shape and you could lift the light up a bit more for a bit more headroom....
lovely job man.

Good evening Folks,
Thought this thread was dead & buried. Was thinking of starting a growroom diary 'cos for noobs you seem to get a lot of advice once the old growers get hooked on the soap opera of self sufficiency. SSF, pull up a bean bag, settle down & chill. This growing lark seems like a loooooooong process. Anyone else feel free to join in & contribute. Few spare chairs but if you don't mind the hammock is reserved.
Potted up from 3 to 6" yesterday. Some of the lower leaves had gone right manky. Yellow & brown. All the newer leaves are well lush tho'. Kept looking for roots at the bottom of the pot. In the end I thought I'd got nowt to lose, took them out & there were roots all over the place!
Got a 400 hps off epay last week for the flowering. Says this can be used all the way thru' from veg to bloom? Could I keep my CFL running in conjunction with this for more light?
Another handy purchase as this is the worlds daftest guerrilla grow, OK I know a lot of people grow hidden indoors, but not secretly from all prying eyes, was the climate meter from Aldi. (see pic). £15. I've put the sensor by the plants so I can see how the temps are in my space. I've some control over the temp in there 'cos the fan speed control is down in the garage. Fuckin genius or what?
What's in the pots? 2x blueberry & 2x summat I'm not too sure about. Know some of you out there are gonna think I'm a Philistine but I've always been a solids man 'til now. Had some blue in A/dam & the others seeds had a lot of numbers in the name so that's what I ordered.
Anyway, where was I? Semtex. See pic. Also I know where the battens are on the sloping walls to secure the hooks.
So, apart from my manky leaves everything seems to be hunky dory.
Hope it is with you Folks out there,
Cheers,
Joe.

Quick update. Bumped into my mate last weekend who got busted. As his plants weren't mature he got let off with a caution. Even gave him his growing equipment back! Not that he's doing any growing at the moment.

Hi Joe, noce grow room matey. Hows the temps in there? If you turned the cf so it's horizontal it would fit right at the top of the room and take away a LOT more heat that has risen up. Top work tho, looks like a top job, hope you sort the plants soon buddy.

I love the effort you have put in to this - as with everythign in life - you get out what you put in - you put in a lot - so expect a nice return
All this business of managing it from a different room i.e the garage for fan control is sterling.
keep it up - nice one

How did you make the eyes on the RVK fan to suspend it using bungees mate??

They were hooks bought from B&Q that conveniently fitted the holes, there are 6 I think, on the Ruck100. The masterpiece was joining the filter to the fan, read thru', perfect fit.
That's gonna be one hell of a scary smoke once it's cured,
Joe.

Don't care what you lot think ;-) My first grow & I'm pretty chuffed. Things will be done a little differently next time. I think a lot of this black art is in the training of the plants.
Cheers,
Joe.

I'm not THAT good looking

Firemontage is/was right. 2 blueberry & 2 of something I've forgotten. I binned one plant due to hermieing, one of the "others" I think. You learn a lot on your first grow. I started off with the seed labels by the pots but soon mixed them up & lost them. Next time I'm gonna put a tag round the plant stem. Also always keep a calendar. Easier to keep track of your nutes that way. Was thinking of doing a "newbies guide to growing by a newbie" as a lot of peeps could be put off by the sheer volume of information posted here. Keep it simple at first & start experimenting once you've got a couple of grows under your belt sorta thing,
Cheers,
Joe.

Well folks the results are in. Haven't a clue on the weight, just know there's more than enough to keep me going. Got some home brew on the go at the moment. Gonna add some to a few bottles, should be interesting. Quick heads up. The Kilner jars are on special offer @ Sainsburys. £2.50 a pop but a good bit of kit. Now where did I put those skins?
Cheers,
Joe.

Errr. What will the surveyors report say? I think we growers are in the minority. Could always sell it as a "Chille/pepper" growing room

Viewing some of the other efforts on here this seems a little weak but hey, it's my space. 4th pic shows almost finished space with the added benefit of a passive intake, which becomes active if the downstairs bog light is switched on. 3rd pic is the Ruck loosley assembled to gauge how noisy it was. It wasn't :-) It's gonna end up further down the room with acoustic ducting to improve air circulation. Should be finished soon but gotta wait 'cos I've got a big weekend coming shortly & can't afford to leave youngsters unattended,
Cheers,
Joe.
