hi, my room is 0.6m x 1m x 1.85 tall i have a 250 hp light but wont have any problem with heat. Is it worth me upgrading to a 400w?
also, anyone used a LED UFO? i really wanna know if they are any good or not, because they are a lot of money to shell out without hearing a good report first.

depends on how much bud you want to grow mate, and how big your extraction is gonna be. thats quite a small space for a 400 but with adequate intake/extraction you may be alright.

Horses for courses.

LEDs are brilliant for battery-powered lamps and giant TV screens.

Compact fluorescents are the best choice for lighting your lounge.

HID's for growing plants.

(Point source lamps tend to score over diffused ones.
Large lamps still win out on efficiency.)

A 600 watt HPS will grow the most bud, for the least electricity and heat - don't believe the hype.

0.6m x 1m x 1.85 tall

2 feet by 3 feet 3 by 6 feet.

Yep - that 250 is being stretched and a 400 watt HPS would be a better fit... though 250s are so user-friendly with limited headroom ...

If you want to get a little bit fancy and still be sure of getting a good crop, try a 400w ceramic metal halide bulb. Has to be the Philips Retro White, order from the US.

Runs cooler than hps, great vegging light and, I've been told, gives higher quality as a flowering light than hps. Make sure it's a magnetic ballast you use though.
