Hi Guys! I started growing some thai strain that's crossed with skunk and I'm not too happy so far. They plants are about 4 weeks into bloom and there's barely any sign of flowering - I have another strain in there (just the one plant) and the difference is substantial. The thai girls just keep growing and I have to keep cutting them down so they'll fit in my room. Has anyone else's patience been tested by thai sativa?
Hi dem_tweeds,
a few years back I tried Skunkmans O Haze x Skunk1...indoors it was tough, but outdoors she was fabulous and yielded a kilo of dried mango thai flowers.
Thai, thai hybrids, and Equatorial Sativas in general, need to Grow Big in order to produce the high quality flowers they would if grown in their natural environment, they need to flower for months at a time...
and require months to start once they have been induced indoors with low photo periods for bloom set.
use less hours of light and total darkness to induce the bloom set...
try 11.5 on and 12.5 off...and decrease light from there ,slowly, maybe 15 minutes every 10 days,
never going less than 10 hours of light.
you cannot rush a long flowering plant just because you have grown impatient,
if in a hurry, stick to faster indoor hybrids F1,
also make sure you have excellent ventilation and keep temps lower, this will help some with stretch and leaf droop, also be wise of the feeding requirements in bloom.
patience is a virtue
good growing
