I am very new to the whole green finger way of doing things.
Was just wondering whats the best way to cure my wonderful bud.
I am interested in different flavouring methods. Maybe some essential oils or something.
Any and all suggestions are appreciated wink.gif

Whats the main difference between air and water curing apart from the obvious i mean.
Does water curing taste different??
djdavid4u
yeah i havent tried but on this site is says water cures takes away the flavour but increases potency

its used for when u have moldy buds, it will kill the mold.

i think people like cureing in jars

so there whole harvest is fresh to smoke

what about orange and lemon peels. How long do you leave them in the jars with the buds??

Is there a Link to the water curing process.

Many thanks in advance wink.gif

How dry should the buds be when i put them into the air tight jars??

my preferred method is too dry for 3-4 weeks (ie cold attic)

wrap in brown paper for a few days

then jar

As dry as they can be..
When you first put them in the jars, leave them sealed for afew hours and then check to see if they have 'sweated' any moisture. If they do, take them out and dry them further. When they are dry enough, you need to 'burp' the jars a few times a day, as in give them a bit of air and a shake, and then reseal them. If you don't you run the risk of having a jar full of mouldy buds..
Check out the harvesting and curing section of this site.... (were on this section!!!)

Many thanks for the feedback.

Has anybody tried to flavour their buds with citrus peels or maybe essential oils??
CaptainStoner
water curing takes a lot of the taste out of bud, i've heard.

Have used apple in the past to refresh/flavour dried up tobacco but never bud. Ya could try it with a small amount of bud and some orange peel or somethin

I've read of people using orange peel, for example, to add a little moisture to overly dry bud and add a bit of orange flavour. But why? Why not just try it as it is ... which is far nicer than any dealer weed you've ever had. But whatever - your bud, do with it as you want biggrin.gif

I'd stay well clear of essential oils though - far too concentrated I'd have thought, plus dunno if them being flammable might cause problems?

cure in jars, burp regularly, enjoy the natural taste and flavour of the bud. simple.

haha... you asked the same question about 3 times xD its your choice ..
my choice was not to do so because of all the pesticides on citrus fruits ... so if u still wana put a peal in the jar first soak it in water and soda bikarbona for about 10 min....
orrrr just grow your self some fruity tasty bud ...

enjoy
