Hi everyone!

I am currently growing 2 bluewidow in a wardrobe in my spare room, but i am fearing that when i get my 125W (red) envirolite along with my 250W hps, that the temp will get too high and the plants may grow too bushy for the wardrobe! So i want to move them into my loft!

I have a couple of things that i need help with! They are currently in peat pots with soil and as i will be transferring them to the loft, i will not be able to attend to them as regularly (about every 3 -5 days) So i was wondering about a system that could feed and water then! (like a drip system or Wick or if i can use a hydro with soil!) and would i be able to use those with soil! I aint very sure about how to set them up! so all helped wanted!

Another thing is that there isnt really a room, and a cba to make a box, so would it be ok without? if i just hang peices of reflective sheeting near the plant! and so on!

ALL HELP/COMMENTS WANTED

Thanks alot

[COLOR=blue][COLOR=blue][COLOR=blue]I don't think it will get too hot with an Envirolite, if your temps are ok with the HPS, I don't think you will notice the Envirolite as well. it might be worth a try before lugging everything into the loft.

passive hydro would work for you in the loft, but you might need to transer the peat pots into real pots, with drainage, to stop them getting waterlogged.

I doubt if you will get by without some DIY effort. The loft gets cold in winter (that's why you're not supposed to put lagging under the cold water tank - it might freeze), so you really need some sort of box where you have at least a chance of controlling the environment.

Just my 2p worth.
ubiquity
I had considered my loft for growing, but eventually discarded the idea.

The loft is generally cooler than the rest of the house, so while this might make it ideal for summer, its not so good for winter. Also there is the trouble with access, amoung other things.

The envirolight should not give off a lot of heat, ideal for growing in cramped conditions, however the hps will give off a considerable amount.

The final decision is up to you, but if you find yourself stuck with a small grow area, maybe a SCroG or even a Sea of Green could be one of the solutions?
