hi although i have grown strains claiming to finish in 7-8 weeks they never have infact the earliest i have harvested is 9 weeks and they could of gone longer, has anyone ever grown a strain that actualy does finish in 7-8 weeks without losing potency or yield? it would be interesting to hear your experiences

I grew some Mikado which were the breeder info claimed to finish in 45 days of course they didn't but they did finish in 56 and that was some potent funky weed

You would need a 100% Indica, like an Afghan. I am currently growing 4 of them and one of them has definitely finished in 7 weeks, the pistils are 70-80% red/brown so i chopped last night.

The other 3 look like they need a week or two longer, pistils only at 30-40%

are quick finishers low yielders?

tough to say.. I tend to think that most are..
I have a Trainwreck that finishes in 45 days darn near on the dot! Potent as hell.. and I'm sure it could go longer - but its plenty strong at 45 days. Maybe if I gave it another 10 or 15 days it would get bigger... but why wait?

Depending on if its a clone vs. seed will also throw a wrench into the works.. my seed plants produced less than my clone plants are.. I would say that my yield looks to be increased by 30% or more from the original/seed plant.
