Hi!

The other day I read through every post on this subject. Due to colossal amounts of blueberry that night I remember very little pinch.gif

Could an experienced user just answer a few simple questions.

1. When I harvest should I save all the leaves even ones without crystals on?

2. Say I have an ounce of trim and airbuds is it worth doing a run? I understand I should get approx 2.8g of bubble but I dont know how strong this will be? For example I use 0.5g for a hit of weed would I need same with bubble or is it say twice as strong?

3. Was thinking of getting small 4 bag system, will this mean I wont get it to bubble? Or will it mean my lower grades will be more mixed in together? Or will it mean I get less hash? Is it really worth shelling for a 7 or 8 bag system?

4. Will it work vaping in a volcano or am I better off with my glass pipe?

Thanks in advance for any help

1. Throw the fan leaves and keep all the trim

2. Bubble hits harder so you only need a bit

3. 4 bag will be fine, more bags more different grades

4. Yes it will work but bubble is lovely in the pipe

So how much do I need before its worth making it? I can always throw some buds in.

Not sure on weights but usually enough to 25% fill (by volume) of your bubblebags is a good start. If you don't have enough to do a complete run just keep the trim in the freezer untill you do.

Unless you have spare i wouldn't bother. The return isn't worth sacrificing good bud for ... unless your name is HydroNaut biggrin.gif Think of bubble as a little extra onto your harvest. Don't take away from your harvest in order to make it.

Great questions and great answers.
I have had nowt but trouble trying to find a brew making bucket, I ordered on in and phoned 4 days running, then had to pay to park to pick it up arghhhhhhhhhhhh they have made them a different size now, so never bought it.
I have howerver found a great bucket that fits the bags perfectly, thing is it isn't as deep as a brewing bucket, what depth bucket can I get away with ?

slightly off topic, but does anyone prefer dry sift? a scuffbox is cheaper, and a whole lot less messy than bubblebags, if you want different grades, just run it different times. and no loss of terpenes.
Mr Mullen
I have got a scuffbox and hash is nice,

But the hit and power from my bubble hash means I haven't used the scuffbox for a year lol.gif.

Plus you don't have dry out your trim first with the bubblebags.

Peace & Hash

Yes a scuffbox is cheaper......but not as cheap as 3 washing-up bowls, a piece of 43T screen printing mesh and a cheap hot glue gun wink1.gif

I used to have bubblebags, but found them very labourious to use......maybe it was me doing it wrong, but they used to take forever to drain. In the end I just couldn't be arsed.....though the product is very good.

I made a sifter out of washing up bowls and screen print mesh.....think I got the instructions out of the book 'Hashish'.
In the time it takes to set an ice run up I can already have got through 2 or 3 sift runs and be smoking the prodcut while doing the 3rd or 4th run.

I think there is little to chose between ice hash and good dry sift in terms of hit, I personally prefer the taste of dry sift.

I must put some pics up and a 'how to make one'.

Please do fresh air inspector, I have just started experimenting with dry sift using a pair of tights and a kitchen sieve, good results so far spliff.gif

Drysift or jelly for me.. but thats all i tried. Both are simple to produce- very simple. I would love to try bubble/ice hash, but i find the extraction sounds a pain, plus you have to let it cure for good few months for its taste to reappear. The high was good of the bubble i've tried though, just not much taste, glad i didnt have to make it though. Jelly's my bubble smile.gif

Budders next.. tongue.gif

Wow cant believe this thread is still running!

Made my first ice hash a while back from the DIY thread with tights and that. It freaked out people that tried it (complaints of fast hard rate lol.gif!) I loved it!

Now been been experimenting with BHO for the first time (cheap one with coffee cafeteria).

About to help harvest a mates in a while and will get a dustbin bag of trim and airbud (if all goes as usual) so will be looking to buy the bags again when I have enough trim to make it work well.

What are you saying here Mrm?
Your post implies that drying the trim will give you more yeild but of a lower quality??
