Sup folks! been perusing the forums for a while, reading, learning etc. gotta say, this place has been a god send, fair play to all that contribute.

Just a quickie....

Ive got 12 female clones on an NFT 424 (6 DP white widow & 6 DP Orange Bud) under a 600watt grolux sodium, using vitalink nutes. Theyve been under 12/12 for 16 days now and are starting to show some good flower development. When should i switch from the grow to bloom nutrients??

Any help would be appreciated! smoke.gif

switch now. you should be using flowering nutes as soon as you turn your lights back to 12/12

Thanks for the reply pipe, I switched to flower nutes the day after i posted this question. As im throwing rooted clones from my mothers straight onto the NFT table, should i just use flower nutes from day 1? Do you think this delay in using flowering nutes is going to slow down flowering time?

Lo funknet,

You deffinetly should not use flowering nutes from day 1 m8. Plants need more nutrients of a different type while it's in its vegitative state or flowering state, hence nute coming in veg / flower types. Each give the plant more of what it needs at that stage of growth.

Some people don't even switch to flower nutes immediately after going 12/12, but delay using them by a week or so (keeping with the veg nutes). Or even using a 50/50 mix of flower/veg nutes in the first couple of weeks of switching. I'm led to believe this is because the plant takes a while to change from veg to flower mode. Which I can totally agree with, I don't do this myself, but maybe will give it a go in the future smile.gif

Good luck with the grow.
