ive just finished growing a skunk#11 & am cutting it up b4 dryin. ive got a nice size yeild from it & it all looks of good quality except the biggest bud at the top. it looks fine at first sight but i have noticed quite abit of mould on the inside right in the centre of it. wot cud have caused this?? why has it affected this bud but no others?? can i prevent this from happened to future plants??
highgrade
most likely bud rot caused from high humidity, the others may not have been affected cus they are less dense..

whats your extraction like?

its probably down to the denseness of the bud........ you should keep humidity quite low and air movement high when flowering

water cure or bho it

i had an oz of jack herrer that was fine one day i put it in a jar and the next had mould throughout all the stems, saved over half of it by watercuring, was ok but wasnt the same smoke i had before...

what was your humidity if you don't mind me asking
Bun
i just found mould in mine at chop, luckily it had only just started. I think the last couple of weeks did it, due to not having the windows open... i had humidity in the 80's at dark 34.gif

i only had to chuck a bit tho so not so bad. is water cure just extracting the trich's?

Still you live and learn, my kolas were too fat more stems needed next time!! also i never looked at the plant under normal light. as soon as i did i was like oh shit somethings wrong.

I lost about 2.5 plants on my first grow, because of mould. Still.... they made lovley ice hash though yahoo.gif
It looked like that the tightly packed buds were the ones infected.
