hi guys, iv hears using a fan heater during lights out is bad coz it dries up the air??

can anyone please tell me what damege that will be doing to my girls, as i use a 2kw fan heater when lights out. it goes on 4 a min, then off 4 a min....plus i have a wee humidifier blowing at the fresh air duct aswell....but there is never a humidity reading on the meter!!!

will this cause much damage?? they look quite happy at the moment tbh, but im guessing it will affect my yield or summit?

cheers

Tube heater would be better i think and the money you save from the electric could go to a new hygrometer

Mak sure any heater you use emits no light. Even the slightest glow could confuse your plants.

alright rastajedi - id love to be able to use a tube heater mate, but my room is far too big and in the loft!! my 500w oil heater wasnt even keeping the temps high enough!!!

beebsy - the one i was using had a small red led on it - iv covered it with some duct tape - thanx mate!!

anyone know if the fan heater will have any bad affects on the girls from lowering the humidity?

cheers

Hello again keengrower,

Just been lookin at your girls clapping.gif , nothing to worry about i would say they look great

So long as the fan heater isnt right on top of them blowing directly i cant see it giving you much hassle, if you were in early veg then a very low humidity could be adverse, but to me all looks sweet mate
