Hi Bish,
I don't cure, other than putting my dry buds sit in jars which get opened occasionally as I dip into them to get a few buds for my small stash jar. And my buds are very sweet tasting. In another topic around here (sorry but I wouldn't know where to find it now) someone had posted a snippet from a topic on another grow site.
The article said that when bud is drying, the plant produces enzymes that deconstruct the chlorophyl. This enzyme goes away once the plants are dry. Hence the need for a long dry for sweet buds. I reckon that by putting the plants in dark for a few days or more, prior to the chop, this enzyme has a better chance to do it's job, especially as I imagine that the plant stops producing chlorophyl if it is in the dark.

Now maybe I'm completely off my rocker (wouldn't be the first time) but again, I don't cure and I have had many compliments on the taste of me bud. So I'm thinking that the 6 day darkness is helping. In the next few days I will be conducting a smoke test between darkened and non-darkened plants. The results will be published in me first grow diary
