i received my DR100 & noticed there was some changes, greens advert says:

cable access ports top & bottom
170mm top vent, 2X 170mm bottom vents

but i also have an extra 2X 170mm high up vents, for a straight through bulb cooling, & extra support on the roof, for hanging.

now im sooo happy with this tent, im still planning whats going to go on inside.

if anyone from greens is reading this, then i would say i would be wise to update your website, with the extra info & pictures.

are all the series of DR tents upgraded? as im wanting to get another..

i can get more pics if anyone is interested, just thought i would inform everyone, as i think this is a really good selling feature, that some of the other tents dont have....

anything specific you want to see?

i really dont know how im going to put my ruck 150L fan onto the end of that phat filter 150/900 & to the outlet, any idears?
Robert Plant
excellent choice of tent mate, it the exact same one as mine and its extremely well made and thought out! thumbsup.gif

no not yet, im only going to run a 250W, but try vertical grow, with mabe 4 plants around the bulb, i know i went OTT wityh the fan & filter, just incase i upgrade to a bugger light.

im working on hanging the bare bulb now, so once its done, ill turn it on & see for light leaks & report back..
Robert Plant
i run a 600hps in mine with a coolstar shade and running a 5"high powered ruck through it and find temps in the summer were rarely too high, better going bigger than you need that way your covered, you can always slow it down with a speed controller
floppy
hmmm, now im not happy, the 5" insulated ducting from greens has holes on the inside, the stuff i had before from another place didnt, so theres £40 down the drain, the more times i order from there, the more times i receive dodgy goods, NOT good at all...

think i need to find a better supplier of goods, as i have already decided not to order anything electrical from there, from previous experiences..

now im up the creek without a paddle...

HA! & just to add, the ducting dont even fit over the lips of the phat filter or the ruck 150L!

seriously pissed! thats it now, im anti greens, take your cash elsewhere & get quality goods!
Robert Plant
if i remember correctly the accoustic ducting is ment to have holes on the inside, and the ducting WILL fit with a bit of perseverance, its a bitch i know pinch.gif , the accousic ducting's far harder to work with than the ordinary stuff.

Greens are cool mate, if you have a problem phone them up and tell them. i think you will find them extremely helpfull.

i have emailed them.

luckily enough i have about 2 metres left over from when i did my veg area, im getting there slowly, but im in no rush:

Hang on your saying the ducting which is 5" doesn't fit over your ruck 150L fan?

And the holes are meant to be there on the inside foil then its the fibre glass then the outside foil which has no holes and of course seals it, cant see how you've wasted your money unsure.gif

What other problems have you had from greens stuff?

From here maybe lol.gif

N the ducting will fit fine if its the right size and yes it will be as tight as fuck n a major pain in the arse as the ducting is usually 152mm n the fan is 150mm so theres only 2mm in it.

What other prolems have you had with greens apart form acoustic ducting that has holes in it whistling.gif

so did u get it sorted?

That looks like the dogs bollox!

I'm actually very interested - it appears to be very well thought-out.
Well done on your purchase!

Would you mind posting a piccie when you have kitted it out and a few thoughts
you've had about the tent, please?

I'd like your thoughts before I splash my cash!

kind regards

ill be out tomorrow looking for some chain, for my made up bulb holder, from a cheap cheap reflector, looks good uh?

ill be chanding the orange string/rope for bungee`s

iv added extra wooden dowel, as theres no "centre" to hang the bulb, plus to hang the ruck 150L at the far rear of the tent.

i have not long done a dry test run for temps, im planning on venting into the room the tents in "bedroom" & drawing air from outside..

on the test run, i didnt have ducting drawing from outside, & the temps was a couple degrees above ambient temperature, i must add, i connected the fan to my rariac & had it about a quarter on only, & there was no sound what to ever! which is good, as thats why i took the advice from members on here who say, go bigger & slow down for quietness.

quality of the tent....: 100% im very pleased with it, i carnt seem to find any light leaks at all, it sucks in nice, the zipps are huge, the tent still feels a little "stiff" but im sure itll loosen off in time.

negative things....: none! i carnt fault it yet.. & im already thinking about getting another, or mabe the DR80 for veg/mothers & going OTT again with the ruck 150L & phatty, as i know how they sound & thats silent "at the moment"

im going to get a honeywell HT-800E 3 speed fan from screwfix for direct under the bulb, not that ill need it, but for a little airflow, & mabe 4 to 6 plants trained around some sort of fence.

just a shame i aint/carnt get my hands on any clones, or i would be cooking with gass, lol.gif

anyway, think iv said enough now, if you want any other pictures etc, thats no problem....

Hey Floppy! wink.gif

Thanks for posting the pics; I'm really chuffed for you -
you must feel like it's christmas day every time you go into your growtent!

Yeah, I know it's a bind when you don't know someone with some clones to spare
and starting from seeds frustrates my natural impatience to see results!

Sadly, that's the nature of our game, telling no-one means our network of growers
close to us is limited. Still, you'll be glad for all your efforts after harvest time!

I agree with your comment: go bigger and use it to lower than max capacity.
Sadly for me, it's a case of make do with what I can afford! I hope to upgrade
and then the older kit will be spares in case of failure...

Good luck with all you do, and I wish you every success! wink.gif

Hey floppy nice tent man
im gettin a dr 80 or 100 i hope the 80 has the extra vents as i want to cool my lights
i dont think the 100 will fit height wise in me loft (i shall pray tho)
happy growing man ull have plants soaring in no time rofl.gif
floppy

im actually thinking about getting another DR100 for veg/clones, & linking the air flow through both tents & just using the single fan & filter...

as my first attempt of making a grow drobe kinda failed, to many problems with it, but im kinda using it at the moment for sowing some beans....

Hey Floppy, nice choice of tent. I use a darkroom too and they're top class. The additional top vents are for air-cooled lights, so you can use a separate fan/vent from the filter and extract. Seems to be standard on all new DR tents. If you notice the double collars on all the vent holes, rather than have one inside the other try having one per side. You can fit up to a 6" fan in between them keeping it hidden and out the way.

im running a DR240 tent which is 2.4 m x 1.2x 2.0 in size i have two wilma 10 pot hydro systems two 600 lights with a 6" (150) inline fan, at the mo im getting terrible condensation on all walls of tent sad.gif the humidity is high at 70% any ideas to get humidity down? the plants themselves look fine but im worried about rot many thx in advance all.
181
Where are you bringing the air from?

Is the condensation not because of the inlet air being to cold and blowing against the walls then condensing?

I had that problem so i just directed the inlet ducting up so it wasn't hitting of the walls.

I'd say no. I'd say my loft was average height and a dr80 just about fits and thats 160cm tall. Best get the tape measure out buddy wink.gif
